| not a bad idea either... lets face it...... a single seat car is a single seat car.... whether you do it with electrical time alignment or mechanical time alignment..... every single seat car i have ever heard from the passenger side, might as well not have that seat in the car anyway, as they all sound like azzz from over there anyway.... | |

| There were two back seat driver cars around in the late 90's... Both simply had the front seats totally removed, and the controls located further back to drive the cars.
Neither one worked really well. They had a defined sound stage, but the proportions were skewed because the listening positions were so far bac from the speakers. They just seemed narrow because of the relationship between the front stage speaker width and the distance from the speakers. And, the reflections off the back window were much like a regular cab pickup. You just knew you were backed up against something.
Nice installations, both of them... And acoustically, they addressed some issues well. But they added some different acoustical issues that prevented them from working really well.

and it's easy to judge center image because you just need to make sure it sounds like the main singer is singing into the Bud Light tap in the middle of the dash

| This is where we started:
Here is my question...
Is there a FAIR way to have one seat and two seat judging in the same class?
discuss...

| hey...there we go...I say NO too...and that real cars are judged with two seats, simultaneously, side by side. It is more of a challenge to tune and design for the two seat judging set up. | |
