Trunk Class

First topic message reminder :

USACI is going to experiment with a trunk class for 2009. Two classes. Anyone got any ideas on how to break them down?

ralph are those class open for finals or a point requirement?

very positive and good class and rules
guess I never read over the stock rules about the seat that dont fold down they can be laid down. seems fair.

ralph why do we do one a stock format and one a sb and see witch one has the bigger turnout do 0-1000 outlaw style and the other same as sb 1. And let's see what numbers 2 10 can pop up.

Damn if this is solid then that means i gotta trade my 2 1500's for a single 3000. Oh well this should make things fun like when I first started.

Now this trunk class is sounding good and all but before it becomes an issue later I have a question.

Everybody is bringing up no modifications to the rear deck, I agree with that, but sooner or later there will be an issue.

So my question is what about cuts to the trunk floor for placement of extra batteries?

The truck class is a good ideal I think this will be a great class for people like me with a 1998 towncar .

man im just debating if i should do a burp box in the hyundai or keep as is ... as we drive this car as a daily and need the boom boom for the kid. and to show off at the shop ,everyone loves it around here mad flex, rear window pops out every few weeks , mean but not loud..

Seems as if they're following the stock rules. so, interior panels would have to remain in place. And no cutting allowed.

I still think why make a trunk class just put all cars behind the strutt towers that would make them all the same no matter what kind of car it is that way no extra class just my thoughts

I still think the class should have had smaller power classes. I agree this is going to be a war of the big amps. Already useable in the class are IA 40.1 and Memphis 4kw. I know there are other amps out there that fit as well, and depending on how low you run your amps this is looking like 6000+ watts in 0-1000. Not exactly friendly to new comers. But who cares about them anyways....right?

workin em out. Will most likely be very similar to stock rules with a tweak to determine the trunk and allowed mods.
