| USACI is going to experiment with a trunk class for 2009. Two classes. Anyone got any ideas on how to break them down? | |

| I don't like 16v in trunk. You wouldn't have many in that class to me it seems
Maybe divide by subs, kinda like SB but a burp class. Like up to 16pts in Trunk 1 and 16 up in Trunk 2
Or somethin smaller

| Yeh but if there's only 2 classes 12 and 16v would be not the 2 I'd like to see
You gotta have some kinda separation of power or subs, don't ya?

| Why?... Whoever is loudest wins. There's only so much you can get in a trunk. | |

| my vote would be 12v only . maybe 0-1800 , and 1801 + , or 0-1000 and 1001+ . i believe in most all my local events , the smaller of the two power classes would be the most popular . if you decided to do a third class ,make it pro and 16v. | |

That sounds perfiect 12v only 0-1800 and 1801+, Keeps things simple with little grey area

| I would say 0-1000 2 amps, 1001-2000 4 amps. Everything in the trunk, no modifications to the rear deck aside from removing speakers, but no cutting of metal, has to be a "true" trunk not a hatchback with a cover over the back. That's just my two cents. | |

| I think IF we need to keep it two trunk classes that we should have a basic and advanced. In basic you have to keep the enclosure in the trunk and no cutting of rear deck or sheetmetal. In advanced class you can have the enclosure in the cabin and cutting of sheetmetal is acceptable.
But I really like the idea of seperating them by subs like streetbeat but I understand more classes equal more trophies to buy and all that financial hooha

| nonono keep it basic, and simple and we will not have the issues there are in s.b.
there needs to be no advanced in the trunk class at all.
keep it simple, and even so everyone is close and lets see what the builds will be like

| We tried that with streetbeat and look what happened. Chances are the trunk classes will start out good until it gets domiated by current comptetors that'll roll up with a 158 in a Grand AM. | |

| I totally agree it should NOT be like SB. Keep it as simple as possible with only two or three classes. As XFL brung up it may be better to keep the wattage down if there is only two classes.
Two class: 0-1000 and 1001+ 12v only
Or
Three class: 0-1000, 1001-2000 and 2001+ Allow 16 volt in the 2001+ class

Trunk 1 4 pts Trunk 2 8 pts Trunk 3 anything above

| That would Limit 2 12's before you have to do unlimited... Would need more points per class to make it fun. | |

| Power classes like the stock classes, unlimited battaries, unlimited speakers, no modifications..fit what you can in your trunk then the rest is up to the builder.
And do a burp trunk class and a Streetbeat trunk class
