here we go ....again.......................
Cactus could change them, I could change them, IA could change an amp, any manufacture can change an amp, or mod it AFTER it's been tested...so why pick on this one....??? because it's new, upproven, or scared of it....
LET IT GET TESTED, if you wanna protest, lay down the cash....end of story
i agree, NO mods needs to be done to this amp, NOR any amp after it has passed...leave it, and play it in the lanes, let install provide a winner. I agree, but im under the impression Ralph test amps from an off the shelf situation when protested, not ones sent in directly from the manufacture. Am i wrong in thinking that? If so then the whole protest scene is waste of time, which isnt the first time I thought that not 100% sure dude, is it that way, everytime, under every condition?? Im in the same boat as you, Im not sure if it is. But if it isnt that way it should be or its pointless. | |

| I 100% agree with Jeff on this...IF someone was asked if they'd be interested in running Cactus Products...specifically amplifiers... and that person was told the amp could be made to "do whatever you need it to do" or be changed in some way AFTER they had been USACI certified, I say that is complete crap and needs to be investigated fully. I'm not saying that this did or didn't happen. BUT I know Jeff usually doesn't pull stuff out of thin air like this. Also I guess I see 2 sides to having a Manufacturer send there own products in for USACI certification. The thing I like about it is that it protects the consumer/competitor from possibly purchasing an amp that they cannot use if it where to fail a protest after there purchase. That part of it is awesome. BUT as I think Jeff and someone else said... it does leave the door open to temptation to possibly send in a couple of "not so strong" amps to get certified OR as Jeff mentioned. The amp could be a legit off the shelf unit and get certified, but could have a mod available that would "enhance" the performance afterwards. I am in no way saying anyone has done or will do this but it definately could happen. What is the solution??? I don't know but it needs to be addressed for sure. | |
