2009 power classes.

First topic message reminder :

Despite all the class changes some things have remained the same.
1. Modified with the below poer classes us still the most popular and competed in division
2. Pro Stock and Super Modified are empty at most events and not much more that that at Finals.



POWER CLASSES:
Stock:
0 – 1000 watts (max 2 amplifiers)
1001-2000 watts (max 4 amplifiers)
2001-4000 watts (max 6 amplifiers)
4001-up watts (unlimited)

Pro Stock: Open Power at 1x and 2x events
0–1000 watts (max 2 amplifiers)
1001-2000 watts (max 4 amplifiers)
2001–up watts (unlimited amplifiers)

Modified:
0 – 1000 watts (max 2 amplifiers)
1001-2000 watts (max 4 amplifiers)
2001-4000 watts (max 6 amplifiers)
4001-up watts (unlimited)

Super Modified: Regular, double and triple point events - Open power class
0 - 2000 watts (Max 4 Amplifiers)
2001 – up watts


Street Beat Classes to reamin the same. Street Beat WILL BE added to the rule book and USACI GENERAL RULES will appy to any gray area.

What dont u understand about max power?

I got an idea take real power divide by 4.

I personally don't care.. whatever the rules are me and my team will abide by them and not complain.. but all i hear is ppl whining about changing rules so that the new comers can get into this sport.. SO my argument is how many kids are riding around with the PF 600.1? (800 dollar amp) I think there are like 4 total in the US.. Now how many kids have there 1000 watt sony's explodes? (80 bucks at wal mart) a hell of a lot.. Hmm both amps are classified in the same exact class now? Fair? i dont think so.. that sony might put out 1000 watts if it got struck by lighting and the PF 600 prolly puts out atleast 2800 on a bad day? do you see where I'm gettin at? Like i said I dont care one way or another.. but if we change the rules to get more ppl into it i think we need to look at the bigger picture.. the money issue..

so you want me to take my 2000 watts and run against yours ill take that challenge it takes me 2 amps to come close to 2k watts

the 600 does like 722 watts at 4 ohms i think it was not many kids run around town with there sony explode amps at .25 either. cuase they like to match and sony explodes i think are 4 ohm subs.

This sport is no different than any other it takes money to be competitive.

the amp rating proceedure will not change this has been brought up every year, and turned down every year.

i agree with you, but if its not the amps its the batts that gives you the edge the sad thing is only because some can affords them

thats why we limit the batts.. i mean seriously.. how many gel cells do u need to power up a TRUE 1000 watt amp?

1000 watts MAX clamp the pwr if u have to.. If it exceeds the pwr rating class then ur dqed and sol.. u think kids know how to demand more current? Hell when i was 16 i was prayin i didnt burn Dung Pile up, not thinkin bout how much current i was pullin out..

Ok so save money on equipment only to lose in a vehicle that doesn't meter well. If you can't afford good equipment finals would be a stretch to pay for as well.

2004 not to bad 2005 well smaller
2006 same
2007 wasnt to bad
2008 well i dont know what to think there were way to many variables in there to really gage it

God forbid we level the playing field, and try to mKe it more competitive

trunk class would be kool but no matter what when you add new classes people always find ways to munipulate them to there advantage this is what we do and it never ends
