| I might be the only one that thinks this but with the way the classes were established this year, it will take a 160 or better to win almost every class. Even 0-600 prostock is around a 160. I think it is hurting the sport. There is pretty much no place for anyone in the 130-140's range and it can be intimidating. I think Usac is alot better about policing amps than they were before. New classes: 0-100 101-500 501-5000 5000+ | |

| Im actually all for bringing back a basic stock sort of devision. first year competitors only, and lower power classes somewhat like kevin mentioned.
I might think alot more on this and do a write up to bring forward to usaci

| Those classes would never work, it would go right back to the cheater amps. They just need a truly new competitors class....that only 1st yr competitors can compete in. but they are not advanced enough to track it, so until they have that capability you can pretty much forget it. |

| you want to get rid of cheater amps just go with the highest rating instead of the 4 ohm rating, thats what everyones using anyways that would settle the big numbers w/ big numbers and lil w/ lil. lets get serious tho could you REALLY hit a 160.0 w/ 600 TRUE watts, my guess would b NO... true watts is clamped not rated. | |

8 years ago Yep, and look how many competitors were in the lanes 8 years ago! It probably didn't cost $10,000 to be in the lowest power class, back then.

Maybe I'm missing your point here, but how would that solve anything?

| who can hit a 159.9/60 with only 600 watts truly or even with 601 1800 watts true watts. not an amp that says 300w and truly puts out 3500rms at 1 ohm. the guys hitting 40s and low 50s have small amps trully runin 600w at 2 ohm or so | |

| well we dont go by 1ohm ratings or max power as people have asked before. so NO ONE has 600 watts. and there are ways to eliminate cheater amps. they just dont want to do all that is necesarry as it would be a lot of work. |

| I would just like to see the numbers more spread out. The top numbers in the classes should range from the 130's in the lowest power class to 160's in the unlimited class. Ok. Plus my neighbors can't really hear 130's but they can here the 150's and then the cops are knocking at my door. So of course I would be in the 130's class if it was possible. | |

| Here we go again...didn't we JUST change classes to make things better. I think the classes are just fine..how about some consistency. If anything....add a trunk class. Most kids have trunk cars with moderate systems and that way they don't have to go agains crx's or trucks. | |

| My crx won't do over a 160, it likes to do lower numbers. | |

| Can we have some stability. Classes were already changed, why again. If anything, just have another class for the beginner, That way they will not be in the same class as the vets. | |

| My prediction is that if they were to do a beginner class then we would have some vets helping the noobs... or how bout people like me who have been following it for a while that knows a lil bit of poop but hasn't competed in usaci... or you might have vets from brand x or other organizations coming over into the noob classes... how would that be fair to the true noobs.... just my 2 cents... don't get me wrong im all for it and all for the trunk class as well | |
