OK let's say that rex's become outlawed. get their own class or are required to go to mod. What's the next vehicle? There will be a replacement for it then you will only see s-10's or something else in the lanes. The people who don't have one of those will . This is like complaining because you don't have a Panda in drag. Granted, rex's are loud and they have their distinct advantages, however just because you have a rex doesn't mean you take first at finals. It takes knowledge, time, talent and some luck to have the loudest no matter what you start off with. Flatline is making strides in a damn neon of all cars. Take what you have, do your best and if it's not enough get what it takes to win. It's not justified to complain because you can't win with your 1.21 giggawat Pyramid amp so why complain that you can't get loud with your LTD?

S-10's will get as loud as CRXs, I've also seen Acura integras do the same number with the same setup as a crx (amps, subs, batts, box). There are back seats in this car. Still a hatchback, but has rear seats. If we are talking about unfair advantages, use a S-10, you can use up to 36" in the bed for batts and amps. Basically the entire cargo area in a CRX just for batteries. Blah, blah, blah. Get Loud or go home!!!!! If you don't want to run against CRXs, why don't you step up to mod!!! Like PhatSam said, wait til the big boys see this post. You will need a fire dept. to put the flames out on this one.

Well this guy obviously has no experience with crx's... if you think they are so easy to get loud...buy one and you'll find out it takes a lot of time and testing as well. The only reason a lot of guys are reasonably loud right off the start is that there is a lot of common knowledge about a somewhat universal "crx box" out there that does pretty well in most cars. From there it takes a ton of time and testing to get to the level it takes to win at finals etc. A teamate of mine is competing with a crx this season and is doing pretty good so far but we'll have many many more hours in it before it's where it needs to be.
Now that being said, I own an S10 ext cab pickup...in my opinioin they are the better vehicle. Why do I say that??? Because I've done months and months worth of testing on it and I know what trucks like. That is the secret....testing and knowing your vehicle. Trunk cars are obviously at a disadvantage but there are many other vehicles out there that can win in USACI. They just take time to get them loud. You time is better spent working on your setup than whining about what other people use.

It takes time and effort to get any car loud. I know I can't brag just yet of hitting a 50 out of a trunk car, but the little baby steps I am makeing will soon pay off. Why will they, as said above, it is from all the testing and tweaking and testing and so on. It can be done with more then a crx. And for your info, I own and use a ford contour of all cars. Work with what you have and see the challenge and defeat it.
