| This is the way the forum used to be....entertaining for sure. LOL
I say to each there own.... Nobody that competes does everything on there own...most get a LOT of help from teamates, friends etc. Many competitors haven't been in the game long enough to know what to do or maybe they just don't have the tools or the place to build the enclosures. I personally enjoy the building process and figuring out what the vehicle likes and actually like helping teamates more than working on my own stuff LOL...does that make there accomplishments any less important? HELL NO. It's about friendship and comradery.
I will say only one thing about the sale of my truck to Jeff and that is this... I am very pleased that somone thought highly enough of that vehicle to even want to purchase it and will definately enjoy seeing it continue to be in the lanes. Jeff is a very experienced competitor and has the means to take that truck to the level that I know it is capable of. I am proud of what I did with it but am sure that Jeff will continue to raise the bar, it is far from being finished...trust me.

| Nope no plan at all....it just worked out that he had a nice crx I wanted for a daily driver and we made the trade. I'm having fun with the car...just put new exhaust on today, ordered an AEM intake, and put in a nice sounding stereo.....not a fart box for once. The deal just worked out | |

| my sig says it all for me. and ive got the shirt to match. i really dont have a problem with people buying, its just not something i would do. i'd rather lose with my build than win with someone elses. and personally i dont consider changing equipment really constitutes the classification of a rebuild as most like to call it. do i think people are losers that buy, absolutely not! never ever said or implied that, just dont like when people act like they are the poop cause they bought someone elses hard work. thats my only problem with buying. and these are general statements not directed towards any 1 person, but if you take it personally then you must doing it,lol. | |

- well you known what with credit due to chad he said it correct he bought a car that would have done over 160 on 3 kx 1200.1 so yes jimbo it was chad i was talking about
It's funny that you bring this up again, i made my post just trying to be funny and didnt even read what you guys had typed back and forth before i posted. Jeff you make it sound like i bought a world champion car and just jumped in and turned the keys and won finals, that is far from the case. In fact it was doing a 0.0db when i bought it, sure when bruce's brother had it it was loud(with equipment in it), but i didnt buy boxes, amps, secrets etc, just a car. So I guess if buying a completely empty car gives me an advantage just because loud and clear owned it before me then that is crazy to think that. I guess if thats true then I could be crazy and say the reason it was loud for you guys was because Robert Kollars name was on the title before anyone from L&C, yeah thats just crazy. It'ds just funny your always saying, ohh you had to buy a L&C crx to get loud, no, the reason I bought it is because the motor blew on mine, a few windows got broke in it, and I needed a running CRX just to get points for finals, remember i didnt go to shows last year till Aug, so i didnt have time to sit around and fix the one i had then get points with there being no shows here late in the year last year. So yeah, I did get some tips from you guys, i did talk about amps with you guys, etc etc, but i didnt buy a world championship car from you guys, you guys didnt build my boxes for me or tell me the specs other than 2 fwd 4 up, so yeah you can think i bought a world champion car from and keep telling people that, but this is what it looked like when i got it from you guys so heres what it looked like when i bought it, does that look like a champion, nope just an empty canvas i made my own and from there i took it down a little further to this so i could rerun the wires how i wanted them through the seat mount etc, and to apply some selective sound deadening to a few spots ohh btw, 3 kx1200's wasnt 301-900 |
