Zac man we will never see eye to eye on the amps thing WE never have and obviously never will.... Thats fine i dont want to loose a friendship over amp bs ..... I see your point, But this is Usaci and ive been with them since it usac years ago... And for 13 years now the amp ratings have always been 4ohm rating... ALWAYS. So this is why i get so worked up at these companies . Ive watched ppl say what you are saying for years but thats what they go bye, and that is why i back it ... Its always been this way over here and everyone always wants it changed ... But none of you will ever relieze its not gonna happen. Ralph likes that his is different and it always has been his way bro. With that said i do see your point. But your point doesn't fit with the current rules. So i dont know what to say. Cept dont be mad at me over it . Cause im not getting mad at you.

| instead of a 4 ohm rating Usaci need to go by a .5 ohm rating or max power...
NO one runs there amps @ 4 ohm any more!

But ive watched many come and go that have this idea and Ralph has never changed it... So i dont see him changing it. Guys like i said im just going bye current rule ...

I am like you I just run what class I fit in. I enjoy demoing more now that doing a burp anyways.Oh yeah thanks for the clarification Kenny.

| LOL,,,,,, I liked Flashdance days and miss them it blew my mind when we didn't use it anymore. But the power change thing would not blow my mind as much. Flashdance seemed easier to build around. Then the burb deal i was lost at first. | |

| I hear ya Jimbo, but in oder to keep USACi #1 we need to evolve and the current 4ohm rating system has got to go.
"What's the reason for rules?"
Rules are put in place throughout many different sports and competitions for one main purpose....for leveling the playing field, to keep things fair.
We can all agree on that.
As it stands, our particular 4ohm rule does not level the playing field. Every year, year after year, we're in the exact same position debating what this or that amp actually does at 4ohms when in all actuality it shouldnt make a difference because none of these amps were ever intended to run at 4ohms.
We need to classify amplifiers by their highest published rms rating, regardless of impedance.
This is the only way to level the playing field.
Now, on a side note, if you think about it I was saying that yes, MMats has an advantage over other amps, but its not their fault, it is our rating system that places their amps into these lower classes.
If we were to start classifying amplifiers correctly all of this would be done and over with once and for all.
There are so many advantages to doing this.
#1 It would attract new manufacturer support to USACi from companies that build amps that arent capable of running extremely low impedances.
#2 It would attract new competitors who run 2ohm rated amps.
#3 It would stop the bickering between all of us.
#4 It would attract crossover competitors who don't have lower rated amplifiers.
.....the list goes on, there isnt ONE single good reason I've heard to keep the current 4ohm rating system. In fact, the only reason I've ever heard is because its always been this way.
So, what reason other than that can anybody give that constitutes keeping these 4ohm rating classifications for amplifiers?
