subwoofers tested today

First topic message reminder :

test were done with 1 kicker 1500.1 all at 1 ohm in 1.5 cubic ft ported 2 aeroports.
changed face for the kicker.

inwood 12 d4=143.2
pyramid super pro 12 d4 145.8
ap 12 d.9 thats what it showed on the meter 149.1
cerwin vega vmax 12 d2=149.6
t3 audio tss12 d2=150.9
kicker l7 d2=151.1

this test may be flawed because 3 of the first 4 subs were maxed out powerwise,and the last 2 needed a bit more power so the results could change.

ahhhhhh, the 08's are way different as well...

New motor, no vent, basket design.... etc....

I am not here to throw down challenges, etc....

Any brand and any competitor can be beaten.... so it is best to be humble.

Because eventually ALL over-confident competitors get their azz handed to them by someone wanting to shut them up.....

So like I said, it is always best to be humble.

true, parameter venting now...I think even the L5's got louder.

What were the results with the 08 Kicker L710? Also curious as to why you tested a Kicker sub?

Sorry.. I meant pole vent.

I test everyones woofers.... If there is a company out there that does not.... It would amaze me. All R & D departments test things. It is wise to do this so that a manufacturer knows where their product stands..... and I know what the capability of subs are....

The new woofer will pick guys up a few tenths.... on burps.... over the old version.... heat removal efficiency will be reduced by quite a bit though...
