| Well well well. You got the post locked but I just have one bit of news for you. I'm not chosing sides here but look at things like this. You wanted Joey to bring out a stock vehicle to run against your mod van. now what kind of contest would that be................let me help you with the answer.....I believe Joey could still take you. Remember people like Joey,Rob, and myself (along with alot of other people) have been building stock and super stock vehicles louder or even as loud as your van. Face it man.......................take your licks and move on. Now if you wanna make something fare why not build a stock vehicle and run it against Joey's car. Oh and BTW i still remember you really didn't want to go SPL in the area until you found out that Joey stopped building for a while and I went SQ. Don't get me wrong you're still cool with me but like I said you were fishing in a small pond (you didn't think some of the big fish were still around) | |

| Well lots to say, I see. I guess I've been beat!! Nothing new there. If you remember, I'm one of the new guys in this sport and org., it was not years ago but 06' Heatwave was my first national org. besides the local shows. On a three day build from scratch with joey and loren box plan, we did a 159.6db for my first ever USCAI event. Not a bad start but still got beat. After weeks of tweaking the system it dialed in at constant mid-161's. Now about this concern for about if I was upset about last Sundays event, how could I? Joey told me he was going to bring it out and I knew my van was not going to be doing 165+ anytime soon. So, no worries there. I didn't get to break "my highest score for the year" though. I would have liked to have hit a nice mid 162 or something. If someone told them I was upset they were misinformed. That was the day after my birthday which I think it was a great weekend! This is only my second year and I'm done up to 162db, and thats loud enough for me. Time for some nasty low bass now like I had in my Probe. Next year is going to be a streetable system for the weekends and org. events. Change in pace is needed, I feel I would put more time and effort into a loud ground pounder. I have no prob with Joey what's so ever, he has been more help than anyone. | |

| Well John's van isn't really a mod vehicle. He has built a HUGE console and built up the floor, down the roof and out on the doors. We played a supermod against a supermod. It doesn't matter though, but the 36" first place trophey looks good in the stack with rest of them. | |

| Jeff I'm sure you really didn't think that my van was a supermod, your inside was barely half the space of my van, I drive my van around town with bucket seats and it's legal to drive on the road. I built it my van from scratch, just me and Chuck from start to finish. I'm sure I could buy a supermod that would do as good or better than someone that was louder than me, but I think the fun is building them, not buying them to be louder than some else! Good job on the win! I hope you will come next year for more events! I hope you guys have good luck this weekend!! | |

| Guys this is competion. This is what its all about. Build it or buy it, compete. I am glad that you all come out weekend after weekend to play. Its better then sitting on the forum with 988 post and not doing anything except talk poop about everyone else. | |

| John, I may be wrong, but didnt Joey Daniels make your van loud? I may have bought a car, but it wasn't as loud as WE have made it. What class do you have to play in the one USACI show you ran. It isn't my fault you built a supermod that isn't louder than mod vehicles. I have a van that does a 159 with 2 of the audiopipe gd6001's. As far as driving to shows, I drove my van from Arkansas to Caddo MIlls and you didn't drive 45 minutes to the show, so I don't want to here about daily drivers.
I will be in next year. Just let me know what class you want to run. I say lets run the 30-40 hz class and see what happens. | |

| Jeff, Sounds like fun! 30-40 hz class seems fine with me! Is this your van vs mine or your Festiva, which ever sounds like real fun! I haven't much reason to get louder lately, but the van is looking better on the outside, still needs the new rims but this winter I'm going for a nice clean install and focus the ride with the added features that a carpc can offer. I plan on having my van playing some loud low bass and music by first of next year. I will be ready to play | |
