OPINIONS NEEDED ON USACI

WELL AFTER A LONG HEATED DEBATE ON FB IT SEEMS PEOPLE THINK OF USACI AS AN ORG THAT DOESNT HAVE ANY STRUCTURED RULES OR ANY TYPE OF JUDGES THAT CARE TO ENFORCE THE RULES. I AM WONDERING IS THIS WHY YOU GUYS PLAY HERE BECASUE YOU CAN BASICALLY DO WHAT YOU WNAT THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, ANDGET AWAY WITH IT JUST TO SKIP FINALS AND NEVER BE CORRECT ON BEING WRONG????

Well after several text messages about GET ON THE FORUM NOW, I have read all 3 pages.

What Jeff is saying is, he can't help what happens at the local event level but will ensure that ALL RULES are followed in the FINALS VERIFICATION LANE. NO EXCEPTIONS! If I am understanding right he is saying anyone that has a issue on their build or setup please get with him (if your planning to come to finals) so he can help you ensure you are compliant with the rules. He might be a little BLUNT (right Jeff?) but he means well to help you all and to make Finals fair to everyone.

Last year we appointed Jeff (SanMan) as verification judge because we felt (outside of his personality) he would do the best and treat everyone fair. Jeff did call me over to the lanes a few times and we discussed the rules and agreed (very quickly I might add) what was what. He did an outstanding job and that is why we asked him again this year if he would be the Verification Judge for 2012.

As far as the local event shows, ALL DIRECTORS, should be following the SAME rules. The competitors that come to my shows know I am strict when it comes to the rules as I have read them several several times. I can't speak for the other Directors but I would hope they are doing the same at their shows.

I apologize some of you are upset with some Directors and if that is the case please email usacms@aol.com and cc: jlillard@pagerize.com with your concerns. Ralph being the owner of the company, should take care of all matters that come thru his office in a timely manner (Right Ralph?).

My opinion-
First, speaking on my area, I do not feel competitors compete in Usaci because it is an "easy" org, but that we all compete in it out of necessity. Out of the competitors that I do know and have spoken to, I feel most if not all follow the rules to the best of their abilities. The competitor cars that I usually feel i need to check out, in a nonchalant way, are the new guys or the localized/non-consistent competitors, the guys that just showed up because they heard there was a competition. These are the guys that show up with center console builds in front of the b-pillars and slip in with more than one amp in 0-600 because they are unaware of the amplifier limit or even too many batteries. Usually these things do not amount to anything but they are still there.
I compete in stock 0-6 so I think I see more of the local competition since this is the most feasible class for the common audio guy, but sometimes people completely slip under the radar. Example, at a "Regional" event last year, where there were 3 Usaci officials, i watched a guy run stock 0-600 with an L7 12" flush mounted into his trucks bench seat. The entire sub was in front of the b-pillar and i even recorded it just because. No one even bothered to take a peak inside of the truck apparently, and this was even an event where voltage was being monitored, so i'm not sure what the deal was. Anyways the guy didn't get a trophy because of his low score, but if it would have been loud enough to place, then what would have happened?

Its funny to me that this got twisted to "this" ^^^^^ is what jeff is saying. When in real life.. this thread had nothing to do with "this".. it had ZERO to do with the job jeff did or didn't do at finals .. and it's pretty sad his actions and approach on FB is supported in your reply .. simply shitting on every one here really.. he's not saying ,come to me with issues so finals can be fair. He's saying.. bring that ish to finals so i can get you a big DQ stamp.. people aren't asking him for that. I don't even want him kooking at my car at finals. Back on track. I believe this question has been answered by what I read in these 3 pages.

Now.. we all know YOU do a good job AT finals. But that don't really have much do do with goes on elseware during the season and when People can and will do things different once they are in the lanes. And Ralph can change or choose to enforce a rule or lack of a rule however he wants.. weather its in writing or is consistent with how things have been interpreted by other judges throughout the year man. Its like no 2 judges have the same rules in thier head. Its shouldnt be that way. Any director should be able the answer a question with the same answer.. not "let me check with ralph " abd then whatever he dreams up at that current minute is "the rule" and how it is now halfway through a season. Or like you mentioned before about coming to a decision about something with jenessa at finals.. it should be cut and dry.. so EVERYONE is on the same page. Not.. we arent sure.. so we will talk and make up whayever we see fit. This whole how the head judge interpreted thing and end the end its up to the head judge is 100% BS. And a scapegoat to let things fly lose.. it should be everyone has the same BOOK and no interpretation needed.
And on your other question/comments .. this org is looked down on by people who compete elsewhere .. the "outlaw" name enough sounds like there's no rules.. it says "this is outlaw.. we don't do legal " and that's exactly how people see it. Judges who actually get up..or out of the trailer or someone at all at least doing a simple verification at local shows and consistent rule following would help..
Spend some time talking on other forums and then it won't be such a surprise.

And last thing.. my comments in no way say I don't ..or didn't plan to follow the rules. Any La competitor can back up the fact I'm the guy in the crowd who is not shy to speak up if there is BS going on.. at a local show or finals.. I build to and follow the rules and push people I help to do the same thing. So with that being said. Your DQ threats and wishing I'd challenge your judgment at finals stuff was completely uncalled for. And usaci should ask for a little more professionalism out of you. And that you conduct yourself as you do in real life at finals.

I find this to be very true, usually the org is lambasted by people in other orgs. As far as verification i think that sometimes judging needs to tighten the belt a notch to ensure that competitors are on a level playing field because in all honesty if i chose to show no one the inside of my truck i can pretty much do what ever I want and never get confronted about it. Still to this day i have never had one single judge verify my vehicle.

lol all this is funny ... i run drag,usaci,and mwspl, and in all 3 orgs ive never been really inspected, at local shows, i run my jeep at most of theses shows and in drag they dont even look at the car at all . same with usaci. and same with mwspl .. just a quick peak in the window and ok ya good ..... ... only thing is mwspl does do clamp so they know the voltage and power other then that thats it for inspections

NOT TO MENTION THAT IF USACI IS SUCH AN EASY RELAXED ORG TO RUN HOW COME MORE DRAG GUYS DONT COME OVER AND SHOW THAT ITS IN FACT THIS WAY.

FINALS IS THE MAIN STAGE, AND IS THE PLACE WHERE YOU RUN INTO MORE ISSUES THAN ANYWHERE ELSE.


IF I ROLL UP BURP 164, AND THE SECOND PLACE GUY BURPS 162 HE SHOULD GO LOOK YOUR CAR OVER AND NITPIK THE Dung Pile OUT OF IT TO LEARN FOR ONE, AND TO SEE IF YOUR LEGIT AND IF YOU ARENT HE SHOULD BRING IT UP I MEAN ITS HIM WHO IS GETTING SCREWED OVER IF THIS IS THE CASE.

BATTERIES and BATTERY LIMITATIONS DESCRIBED:

Length x Width. Excluding the battery terminals.) The physical shape of the battery is irrelevant. A 12
volt battery is defined as a battery that has a nominal terminal voltage of 12-Volts, consists of 6 internal
series-connected cells, and is lead/acid or gel-type. A 16 volt battery is defined as a battery that has a
nominal terminal voltage of 16-Volts, consists of 8 internal series-connected cells, and is lead/acid or
gel-type. A battery shall have no more than two “unique” battery terminals connected to the system, one
being positive and the other being negative. Batteries with more than two posts connected to the vehicle

CAPS ARE NOT BATTERIES

No modifications will be allowed to the
exterior of the vehicle and all portions of the system including batteries must remain inside the vehicle.
Inside the vehicle is defined as inside of the factory bodylines, roof, and floorboard.

SEE IT DOESNT STATE THAT BATTS NEED TO BE BEHIND THE B-PILLER EITHER

i first started in drag and ran street B and ran for 3 years with 1 to many batts .. went to a show and a freind says hey u in street C .. was new and was just for fun so no biggy took out bat. but took 3 years befor any see it and correct it ... was a mistake on my part as it was for fun so didnt read rules just went to a few shows and had 2 12s in trunk
