OPINIONS NEEDED ON USACI

First topic message reminder :

WELL AFTER A LONG HEATED DEBATE ON FB IT SEEMS PEOPLE THINK OF USACI AS AN ORG THAT DOESNT HAVE ANY STRUCTURED RULES OR ANY TYPE OF JUDGES THAT CARE TO ENFORCE THE RULES. I AM WONDERING IS THIS WHY YOU GUYS PLAY HERE BECASUE YOU CAN BASICALLY DO WHAT YOU WNAT THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, ANDGET AWAY WITH IT JUST TO SKIP FINALS AND NEVER BE CORRECT ON BEING WRONG????

You seriously think you don't have people to step up? Again.. this conversation was never really about how well jeff does at finals. Its more about we need things like that a little more often.

It didn't bother me that I got text messages late last night what bothers me is what everyone is talking about with the Rules not being followed. What ever has happened in the past needs to be left in the past (let's say before 2009) and let's move forward TOGETHER to make it work the way it was supposed to work, by the rules!

We are a big family and even though we might fight we are always there for each other no matter what, no matter the organization, no matter who beats who. Where else can you go to a show and if your not loud or your stuff breaks the competitors (maybe even in your class) come up and help you out. If that isn't FAMILY then I don't know what is. I love what I do and I enjoy seeing each one of you at the shows!

I agree... We need area "mystery shoppers". We will call them "shadow directors" and they can go to events and make sure they are going by the rules and report to me if not. This would be a HUGE help....

Needed one of those at a show in biloxi last year, a crx had subs forward of the b pillar, when it was mentioned to the judge the response was "put up 500 dollars". It was an obvious rules violation and the response almost warranted a slapping.

^^^ That's completely ridiculous... It's basically saying, your going to pay me extra to make me enforce the rules.. I think from now on i'm just going to take pic's of everything i see wrong.

from everything ive read this is a matter of politics...... yet another example (in my opinion) of right vs wrong in a situation where rules are outlined in such a way that they can be interpreted by choice or easily misinterpreted depending on the situation....... but are in no way clearly definitively defined.... just my opinion and thats all it is..... wouldnt it be best if yall try to work together to make sure the rules are clearly and indefinately outlined so that they cannot be misinterpreted? Or do you all feel that it should be "judges choice" until finals where people learn what they never knew?

this thread strikes a chord with me personally because i love music i love hard hitting bass and i love the challenge of competition..... ov3er 10 years ago i w3as with a drum corps out of columbus ohio and for those 3 years i experienced judges being unfair based on our status with DCI.... we were new to DCI and rocked the "sport" if thats what yolu would like to call it..... since then ive watched DCI FORCEFULLY put all of the seperate divisions out (DCM, DCSW, DCA, etc.)..... for the purpose of control..... and in turn they pushed corps beyond their means..... i have recently looked to USACi to regain the spirit of competition that DCI USED TO HAVE!..... now i wonder if i made a mistake....... take the politics out of it, find judges that care more about the true nature of it, clearly outline the rules........ DQ any judges the bend break or manipulate the rule for any show based on their ideals of "the buddy system"..... break it down to nuts and bolts and i will be in for life...... live loud and die loud

"mystery shoppers" shouldnt be necessary..... just my opinion..... we should all work to eliminate the "society of me" that we have all worked our entire lives to create...... question to all...... in the interest of doing what is "right", what would you be willing to do (or give up) to improve USACi?

Clearly outlining the rules is a magic unicorn, too many different vehicles too try to fill in all the gray areas, it is what it is. Good judgement, for the most part, takes care of this.
As for removing buddy judges, I would have to agree.
Also removing the \"Female dog\" until I get my way mentality of a lot of competitors would be an extremely welcome event.
Most of my teamates and I,are old school guys from a time when you got your asswhipped, you just got your asswhipped, You then went home and rebuilt or modified or watever it took to deliver asswhippings instead of taking delivery. We didnt squall about it, we took our lesson and learned from it.

well considering that i actually go to the shows here locally and help run them because our local directors are new and never ran usaci is a big thing too. dont get me wrong they are great guys and will enforce it and try their best but would be nice if you make a new judge and give them training in the organization rather then me a competitor have to go to the shows and verify vehicles for them and help them clarify rules.

NOT TO MENTION THAT IF USACI IS SUCH AN EASY RELAXED ORG TO RUN HOW COME MORE DRAG GUYS DONT COME OVER AND SHOW THAT ITS IN FACT THIS WAY.


THE ONLY GUYS I CAN THINK OF THAT TRIED THIS WAS MURILLO AND HIS CREW, AND THEY DIDNT WIN

I seem to remember Team 420 coming from Drag and do very well in USACi....

CAPS ARE NOT BATTERIES

I tried to point this out to our former long time director but he refused to even look at the rules, therefore allowing a Batcap 8400 to be considered as a single battery.

murilo also was only running 1 12k i do believe too them panda's would stomp our s10's if aloud to play they do #'s higher in street classes sealed on the dash then we do in any street class. but thats a panda too.lol

Usaci doesn't need 20 more Sanmans Usaci needs 1 rule book that EVERYONE HAS TO FOLLOW... No matter ur name, team, AND/OR sponsor.... I can count numerous times the HBGIN had made a rule on the spot that was clearly not in the rule book... I'm all for fairness that's fine and good... I've been in the sport for 6 years and done 2 different orgs and have been checked "good" 3 times TOPS... And Sanman for u Sayin if u burp 64 and I burp 62 I should go \"Female dog\" and complain bc I GUARANTEE ANY THAT HAS EVER INE USACI WAS NOT 100% legit... If the 2nd place guy wouldve come up to me and said lemme see this or that bc ur cheating... I would've told him where he could go fornicate him self and then told him when I see some money I'll open it up... Until then I'll be at the bar... I'm not about to leave my car open at world finals or any show bc ppl like my teammates Alan u l and c and so many more REAL competitors can come by and see what tricks u used to accomplish that score... Now u can call me unsportsmanlike and what not but I didn't see anyone else helping on my build besidese and my teammates... Nor did anyone ever pay for anyone in my builds but me... And for the record... The reason murillo didn't win is bc Usaci bitched too much... He played on 1 batt and 1 coil... Threw the mic in the floor and played sealed ( i think sealed) but the other details I'm positive on, and had multiple witnesses.... He clamped 3k and did a 62 and change.. I love Jimbo like a brother but his s10 don't want none of that panda... Just clearing things up for everyone confused
