| I just wanted to see what peoples suggestions might be for what rule changes they might want to see(if any) for the next season. I have a couple minor suggestions based upon some things I've seen throughout the past couple years and one thing at this years finals.
Suggestion 1: I don't think you should have to pay to do a world record run. If you pay money to do a run and do a 160.5(just as an example) and somebody else is doing 164 's at every show they attend, can you really say that you hold the world record ?
Suggestion 2: this one is only a recommendation for a very minor change based upon something i observed at finals this year. Maybe raise the maximum idle rpm's to 14 or 1500. I saw a guy in the lanes whose truck idled higher than 1200 and could not get it lower. He had to do his run with the vehicle off. Maybe some vehicles just idle a little higher than others.
So, now your thoughts and suggestions...

some of the older vehicles the motor just wont run on lower rpm i agree with the record. also i think that every USACI Judge should be able to verify record runs at any event

So, now your thoughts and suggestions... at local shows you can cheat all day. for that 100 bucks, you get to be assured that people shooting at your record have a legit vehichle.

| I can see on the idle thing, my truck was one of them that got called for it. O saw others as well.
My is almost 20 years old, idles rough, and has no exhuast so it's gonna just be a tad louder than a vehilcle that runs smooth.
Thing about it was the guy didnt tell me I was idle high and to take it down, he first asked me if I had a tach, which i replied no. He said you need to bring it down, your idleing at 1400 and it needs to be 1200. He mentioned the 1400 several times and was very adimeant that that was what I was idleing at. How the F%$& does he know I was idleing at exactly 1400 rpm's?

| well idle can be manipulated, if i wanted to run with high idle in say my integra i just got rid of, i would run it while the car has been sitting and cold, that way the IACV keeps the rpms up around 1500 for a minute or so until it warms up. | |
