Trunk classes!

First topic message reminder :

Is the end? Not a lot of entrys. We have had at least one trunk thread going all season. But not to many entrys in trunk classes.

I hope we get 11 in trunk

This is the only real dally driver class! I am surprised that Supa was not all over it!

Full three classes. It is worls finals. If we cannot fill the class at finals we are wasting time.

thats kool. looks like we will be losing ALOT of classes this year. went over last year results. trunk had 2 people per class show. and last year it wasent even 100% happening at finals because i remember having a interest because we kicked around the idea of having it even without points to try out . this is techincally the 1st year for the class. last year was as tester remember??? it wasent even offered at many shows. i know about 5 builds for trunk that started since it became official this year .


but just look at all the classes we gotta lose now cause they didnt have 5 guys per. .. sucks guys...

hell if i had the money and the points id come down and compete in stock and pro stock 0-600 but dont think ill get my points before the cutoff!!!

your whole trunk system and point system for usaci does not work! i am sure more trunk sytems would show if you just had a BATTLE of the TRUNKS like (CSPL) at finals.

everyone that has a trunk system should be allowed to come to finals. But once again. you have to have a central location to do this so people dont drive 1000miles to show. All the rich folks that live in tx and florida need to get off their assses and drive to some other surrounding states. not just sit at home and wait for their own back yard for the competions

whats the difference in points for trunk vs points for any other class? i wouldnt show for a "battle of the trunks" maybe let guys with like 100pts in trunk come or if you git 1 regional or somthing in trunk .. i dunno

This is the post of the year. If this doesnt shut up the big wigs nothing will. There are gonna be 12 classes and all the people in them that are gonna be freaking mad. GOOD JOB RALPH!!!!!

well i say whats with points anyway i mean if ya think about it if we drive 8 hrs to finals an pay our 150bucks entry fee we can run. weither we got points or not. thats what i don't get really, we get all those point for the year to just get a piece of paper saying "he supa your invited to finals now pay up" how about "hey supa your invited to finals your entry fee is only half the regular price" i think that would "maybe" an i say that lightly, would get more ppl to get their points to save on the end. 150 is alot of money especially when ya gotta pay for gas to get there an then another 400 for room cause you have to stay the host hotel cause your car is in the hall. so right now i am looking at paying about 600 bucks for a weekend an thats not counting food lmao.

i dunno about that dave. i think we should have to somewhat be devoted to a class somehow through out the season. and there is no reason for usaci to host shows if you dont have to get points to make finals, if we could just show up at finals lol

For Us on Colorado its 20 hr's drive time!
but we do this for fun! The thrill of compition on a national level! You just can't get that staying home! Lol

Trunk should be no points needed look at the west coast how many trunk events did we have out here? quad is even looking at returning in trunk class, other orgs have had trunk for years now so why can't it work in Usaci ?

port wars and super port should be gone.

Trunk is a legitimate class! I think it shold be a points required class! However.if we could allow all first time finals attenders to compete in their class without a points requirement I believe that after a taste of finals they will be back for life like most of us! IMHO

thats a pretty good idea!! i dont really have the money to make it to finals this year cuz if i was to go to enough shows with driving and all that to get points i cant pay for finals but if i didnt have to get all those points in my first year i would def go and spend my money there!!!

Alan, you might want to add some SQ classes to this list because over on the SQ forum this same thing has been brought up... you know about lack of interest and possibly losing SQ if low turnout at Finals.

so how many classes are we dropping this year???? 13-15 classes.... well since its a low turn out at finals....

Next year we will have stock, mod,and street beat that's it lol

an bret i was talking about without the promo code i am trying to get some money up to pay it before the cutoff date but right now its not looking too hot an have to pay 159 a night. i will figure up something though.

i was being a smart ass about getting rid of the classes lol because of a low turn out in trunk its being braught up to get rid of it. was simply showing how any classes are in the same boat.

like i said before. last year trunk was not even a real class. NO ONE new if it was going to be at finals or not... this is the 1st year. once a few people see the numbers , the drive to run the class will go up. i would be kool with a lower point system for trunk but not totally blind invites. maybe should of been 100pnt but ALL in trunk this year since it IS the first year for it.

The hotel doesnt charge until the day of check in....just call and give them a credit card and your good to go until you get there then you pay cash or whatever....you staying like 4 days?? We staying friday night and saturday night checkout on sunday and drive back or find a cheaper hotel on the way home.

yeah, but i was too busy running around making sure it all went smoothly. i managed to compete at one. but oh well ... its no biggie for me.
