I'm tired of the age thing.

It seems that no matter what aspect of life I'm dealing with, my age some how inhibits what I can do, how far I can go, or if people respect me.

They seem to think that ALL 16 years olds are ignorant, foolish, with zero common sense, and barely and knowledge about things beyond video games. I know that with age come experience, but when people won't listen to you at all because of the fact that you are a certain age, it just gets annoying after a while.

I love to hear "Your to young, you don't know what your talking about." I don't know everything, hell I'm far from it and I know it. But that's no reason for people to assume I know nothing.

Sorry for the rant. Just had to get it out.

be patient Drew . it will come in time . don't worry about the respect thing to much . i will come in time . just do your best ,if people don't respect that ,you don't need their respect anyway . just do you best and don't worry about others . are you going to make usaci finals ?

you say that like he hasn't already numbers don't always earn respect . i respect the 40's he and others have am im in the 60's .

If Tub goes, I'll ride along. Next year I will go, I will see to that. =)
But I really started competing a few weeks ago, at Sik Nic. Been to one more show since. Placed in both.

Its allows hard first couple yrs. Watch out when you go to finals. You'd figure its just like any other show but once your there its a whole different ball game. I learned that in 06

go to finals to meet people and check things out ! its great to go as a spectator !

If I had the cash I would be there waiting.

this my friends is true i have seen it before my very eyes before a buddy of could get some respect he had to put the fear of breaking their world record in their hearts. but it do help

I started competing when I was 16. I got my USACi world record in 2006 when I was 21. I won Super Port at Finals and helped out a lot on my roommates tahoe that won basic stock at finals in 2005 when I was 20. It takes a lot of time, money, and dedication to win. I now judge for USACi Gulf Coast and help the judging team at finals. Don't give up, enjoy it, one day you'll be complaining that you're too old to do the work you did when you were young. With that age comes experience though...a lot less trial and error involved. Just don't give up. Its fun!

I've probably seen you around then. I've been to some the big shows in the last year. Not competing, just watching.

I judged Scrapin the Coast and Sicnik this year and helped out at a show with Greg and Ralph at State Capitol Raceway earlier this year.

So yeah, I did see you. O.o I competed at Sik Nic. And was spectating at Scrapin.
