view of finals and cars?

Ok, so I have been wanting to say that I was a little disappointed in this years show also. I had a blast last year in KC and it was alot closer, BUT I will not complain about that because I know there are ALOT of you guys that drive from across the states to get here. Yall have dedication and congrats to everyone this year. Like said above, I realize this is the first show in Nebraska, hopefully things will turn out better next year. I look forward to next years finals, hopefully we will have something to show next year. =]

As a spectator who has been going to USACI finals for 8+ years I was very disappointed in the manufacturer and competitor turnout compared to KC. I do realize this was the first in Nebraska so I wasnt for sure what to actually expect.

SPl actually exceeded KC by 12 cars this year.
SQ was about the same and car show was down about 30

That is interesting. Some class had only 1 or 2 competitors. Mod 4001+ only 2 competitors. mod 2001-4000 only 1 competitor.

New classes this year made the openings. We expanded classes and the finals show that was a mistake. We were led to believe that there were a ton of high powered cars out there that had no place to compete in USACI and as such we changed the classes to accommodate them. Most of those classes were lacking this year in participation. We will adjust the classes for 2008 based on these results.

I think if you check the result of any other finals you will see they all experienced the same issue this year…

So Ralph were you happy with the turnout.....it seemed pretty good to me! Start advertising it earlier and use USACi finals instead of Tuner Jam and i think you may gain a ton more interest, not many Tuner cars around here. I would love to see it back again next year if this year was bigger than KC wait till next year and see how it does, people unsure that went this year will tell all their friends and wanna come check it out again next year and may be twice as good of a turnout........

I think no matter the location you should give it a couple years to gain a following. If you keep moving it all over the country I think you'll continue to lose interest. Just my opinion. I thought Omaha was a good site. Like how the lanes were set up, everything went smooth, maybe a few less spectators than in the past tho?

If there is a large turnout net year, Where will all the cars fit? I find it was too cramped. There were not much room between vehicles.

That's my one big complaint. It was horrible trying to get in and out of the lanes this year.

We only had 3/4 of the hall. There is another 25% past where the SQ and show cars were. More room is available if we have enough interest to utilize it. I would say that everyone needs to work on the manufacturers that don't currently support us so that we can have some more space next year. Their booth support should enable something like this to happen. I, again, applaud those currently supporting us and encourage other manufacturers to do as Maxxonics just did and commit to supporting USACi.

So there were more rooms available. MECA and USACI was held the same weekend. If it was on different weekend, more manufacturers would have been there. Batcap as well as powermaster was at MECA.

As a local person around here that tried to get the hype up we just didn't have enough promotional items that we could take out and give to people at the surrounding shows. I would really like to know where and when this will be held at next year atleast 3 months in advance with flyers that we can take around to car shows not just SPL but build up the whole show. Thanks again for coming to our back yard and it was fun to judge at finals. Hope to see everyone next year.

actually the spectators on sat out did the whole weekend in KC last year from what i heard..................
