Finals!

First topic message reminder :

6 days until they have the meeting to finalize the date and location. I hope we get some good news. (the old thread was locked)

The wife and I will both be there to judge again. I know she really missed seeing you last year Jaffe.

So you and Don have plenty of time to fight over who gets her in their lane this year. I'd like to judge the SB lane again if that's possible. I love watching equipment smoke

Well the cats sorta already outa the bag it will be in Shreveport, Louisiana but from the way people are talking it looks like either the first or second weekend in October, just like last year.

I don't know, fish...I need to get a lot louder before I consider making that trip. Things might change before then, but I started my own buisness and its draining all my money right now. But I guess time will tell. I know I won't make the trip until I see I can be competitive in my class...right now a 151 I will get killed. But like I say time will tell

You never know at finals.....equipment malfunction, people not showing for whatever reason...scores at finals can go either way and many classes have really poor turn outs right now. Finals will never be big again if everyone stays home because they may or may not be competitive in their class. Show up and see what happens, hell one of these you may actually get to see Quad, lol. Even if you don't compete finals is definately worth the trip to check out and hang with all the guys from the forum. Crazy, crazy times every year.

Yeah, this is gonna be my first year at finals and regardless of what numbers I'm doing by then I'm bringing what I got. I know for sure that I'm not gonna get a first or second place finish but I also know that I'm gonna enjoy myself at finals and I look forward to hearing some loud systems and meeting the masterminds behind those systems.

Airport? Do planes actually fly into Shreveport?

they do jaffe but its high dollar. its over 500 bucks for 1 person. from albuquerque,NM to shreveport. why shreveport again? dont mean to be negative but its not a great spot lol

It is a great spot...it is centralized from north to south. There is casino's, entertainment within walking distance and strip bars for you guys. The facility is extremely nice and so is the hotel.

Yea downtown Shreveport is pretty nice and can have lots of fun..especially with all of us in town. It'll be an interesting and exciting weekend.

This is true mike, but as I said this is a hobby for me. And after starting up my own buisness this year, money is short for me. If I don't think I'm gonna be top 3 score at finals I can justify 150$ for a trophy...I don't own a shop, I have nothing to prove...audio isn't my buisness industry. So this trip from Missouri to Lou will be expensive to lodge,eat and compete all together.I guess we will see when the time comes.

Looks like we will have everything in stone by Monday. Everything about Shreveport is FANTASTIC other than the date. We will have to take the only date open this year but next year will move into the old November time slot.
