| Just being honest here... It does not hurt to try it if you want. It does say it has a 1yr no questions asked warranty. My only thing is Mechmans, XS power, Ohio gen and exssesive amp. alts are expensive for a reason, quality quality quality.. you get what you pay for. I just hate to see you spend $200 and later wish you would have saved a bit more.. but then again. for $200 you could buy 2 of these compared to most of the ones i just listed... | |

| I would email or call to find out if the 220 simply has a smaller pulley on in to make up the extra 20amps. If thats the case I would stick with the 200 for a DD. You may have trouble with belt squeal or breakage is it is a smaller pulley. | |

| I also noticed they claim max amperage at 1200 RPM. When my truck is on the highway. It turns about 2000rpm at 65mph.. I would think that means from 1200rpm to 2000rpm.. what is it doing? Producing Heat? I dont know really.. just makes you wonder. | |

| There cheaper because there mostly stock units, They usually have upgraded rectifiers that were installed in the ambulance and service vehicle applications. They are better than stock and will put out enough to supply medium build systems. If you are going to bang the block down and want the alt to be the last item to poof then do upgrade to a complete aftermarket unit. I've used these alternators in the link below and have had no one come back complaining. granted most of the guys I sold these to were street beaters but none the less I've seen them perform well. I used them on two personal vehicles myself also. http://www.alternatorparts.com/Extreme%20Duty%20Dual%20Rectifier%20CS-144%20type.htm | |

| Got a Ohio Generator and external voltage regulator about 3 years ago. Havent had any issues. My regulator was bad out of the box and Gus from O.G. had no issues over nighting one to me so I'd be all set for a 3X event I had for that weekend. | |

| Get something that is reliable you don't want to be taking out your alternator every other month to send it back do you? My choices would be in no particular order

| the best advice i can give is ask questions like, what rpm is the alt putting out the most power.Steer away from shops that say max is at low rpms usually ho alt perform max power at higher rpms unless smaller pulley is applied ,what size rectifier is being put in, does it have internal fan, most important is to make sure it will fit without mod.brakets. if not fabrication of brackets is possible but costly and if u mod the brakets u mind as well invest in a dial in | |

| Team big Un runs nothing but Ohio gen, I also suggested to supadave to give them a call, and talk to Gus and those guys at Ohio gen they have always taken care of us. Even for the installs at the shop for the daily driven vehicles that need alts it's Powermaster batteries and Ohio gen alts just our opinion. They have never failed us I'm doing a corvette right now that we just finished bolting on his new 220 alt at 1200 rpm won't make any more power above 1200 rpm | |

| High Output is the only alternator company doing any business with USACI on any level.
Ohio, Iraggi, etc have not even spoken to us in a few years. Lets hope HO does not follow suit. | |
