In place judging for SPL?

We build 5 carts and go car to car with the meter. No moving, and makes more room for parking indoors.


Thoughts?

so if the usaci cart comes by and scratches my car or the cart catches my charger cord and shorts out my system out or a spectator steals my spair woofers or other equiptment by my car while i am running who will pay for that???? sounds like a lot of liability ralph. How much space will be between our cars any way.... enough for a cart and spectators? Can we crank and run our cars in this area? I really like the way db drag runs their finals. you sit in the bleachers and watch.... running groups at our finals would be awesome. If i am intrested in a certain class i would like to be able to watch all the cars in that class run at one time. That would be the ideal way to do things to me.

ive brought that up 1000000 times .. having the class run at the same time.. i thnk local shows should do this too.. instead of the director sitting in a chair all day waiting in a 5hour window for who ever to run..

This is my first finals but I want my 30 sec of fame. I am far from the loudest in my class but I want to pull my truck in front of everyone and show what i got. Time slots and classes running together sounds great. Knowing when to be where and who got what is the way to go.

Ralph, with this cart idea how will you do assigned times but do an entire class at once? If I sent my money in 3 weeks ago and get a late time but someone, who will also be in the same class as me, pays on the day of the show, and according to you will get an earlier time, how will you do the entire class at once. Which policy are you enforcing, I'm not complaining just pointing things out

i just read all of this and i think for this year do it one step with a time slot , maybe build some carts and if you think its a good idea try it at some larger shows next year , but for this year , first time at a new location wait and see how the cars fit in building , then worry about the carts for next year .

honestly if your worried about inside parking the building probably isnt the right location for the event then.

While I personally would hate to see you miss finals, your statement in that regard will have no effect on our decision. It is your choice.

Seriously, once again everyone has jumped to conclusions and gotten all worked up over nothing.

We ARE DOING TIME SLOTS. That is not open for debate.
We MAY try to do classes all together.

As for the carts, was an idea. Despite Jeff's assertion, no ones mind was made up. In fact the carts will cost over $200 each to outfit and prepare so I for one am in no hurry to invest $1,0000 in carts. It was brought up at the office and I wanted to toss it around on the forums.

NO. USACI will not be responsible. It is your choice to enter the event and as such accept responsibilty. If you do not accept responsbility for yourself and your stuff, you cannot compete.
