here's an idea for a class. a class for groundpounders. break it down into a simple wall and non wall divisions. limit it to three alts. and you have to peak under 43hz. any opinions

and streetbeat went away from what it was started as. i remember when the first brought streetbeat out. they said it was a class for the average car. well a groundpounder isn't really average, but it's alot more average then most of what dominates streetbeat

louborn you can hang this up man, it took us tru streetbeaters a whole year to get streetbeat where its at now. before hand guys was playing hidden notes wit songs in front of them. this is how streetbeat started out, as a matter of fact i remember reading about it on the main home page. a way to get out all the local guys an draw in new ppl but as you can tell you see where it went too.

I know this will never happen, but there's alot more people who would be willing to compete, if they had a class that they could actually have a shot, and not get there asses handed to them by a 160+ 60hz monsters.

A separate groundpounder class would be a great idea. Plus it is more of a challenge to get loud at lower frequenies!!

A grounpounder class would be crown pleaser too. I know when I show my Yukon off people freak out how the roof and doors look like a sheet of paper just flapping around.

This sounds like a good idea but how about taking it one step further and limit the voltage to 14.4 volts. I think this will be a good way to get the average consumer involved also

A 14.4 volt limit would be perfect. I really don't see the big dogs getting in this class. Those guys are used to 160+. I can see a class like this getting loud, but not that loud. High 50's yea, but 60's is a stretch

To keep this sport going and adding new competitors this class with a voltage limit is a good idea, think about the newbie who wants to try his luck and brag to his buddies, who just bought a small Fosgate or JL amp and comes out and pays his entry fee but keeps going up against 600 watt amps that put out 6000+ watts at 17-18 volts that person will probably not come out and pay his money to compete anymore if he keeps getting spanked. This is why I like the trunk class so much it gives a novice competitor a good chance at competing and not have to go up against the 155+ CRX's which by no means is a put down, I think those kind of numbers are amazing but lets give the newbies a chance to keep this sport alive.

the trunk class is a good idea but you already got the big dogs in that class goin for 155+ already. which is cool, but we need a class like this for the guys who are tuned low. and yea there's a handful of people out there who are doin 160+ in the 30hz range, but not enough that it would keep everyone discouraged.

HELL WHO IS DOING A 60 AT 30HZ, I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE SHEET METAL ON THIS VEHICLE AFTER ABOUT 3 SHOWS..
but like i have been saying guys this is what streetbeat was suppose to be. i still wish we can get at cap hertz on it that would be very interesting i tell you that. i could see this as a class but like a said before it still won't change somethings some people will find loop holes. i say take the rules you guys just stated about the voltage limit, cap hertz an try to get them inforced in streetbeat to see if we can get somethings changed before finals or for next year.

I said the 30hz range. Which means 30 to 39hz. LOL I know it's a shot in the dark, but it seems like there's people interested in a class like this

I do a 153.4@37hz, there's an old bid of Steve Meade doing a 150.2@28hz. I'll see if I can find it.
