THE TOP 3 PLACES IN EACH CLASS IS AN AUTOMATIC INVITE TO FINALS! NOT JUST FIRST PLACE!

The SQ hall is 17,632 sq ft. this is nice because SQ competitors will be allowed to park in team blocks, so all of your teammates can be beside one another. The only booths allowed in this hall are sq booths and they must maintain low volume. The Sq hall is seperated from the demo hall.

The demo booth hall is over 8,395 sq ft. Spl might also be allowed in this room is there is enough space allowed, otherwise they will be outside with the truck/car show. There is a large hallway seperating these rooms so noise should not be an issue. The car/truck show will be hosted by several huge truck and car show promoters.

Now the good stuff...
Sunday- top money round. Top 5 places recieve cash and custom trophys. Anyone can enter, you dont have to place the day before. Just pay the entry fee, and your in! ( amount not yet fiqured ). Everyone who competes in this round will recieve a Texas Summer Showdown shirt, and a copy of the cd for judging. There be special awards also given. I'll explain more later....Rules will also come later.

Saturday and Sunday - compete in 2 different organizations at one show (all Regional events), no where else will you get an opprotunity like this all year!!!

I will pay for everyones electricity,including booths!!!!!!!!!!!

We will have product giveaways, for contestants!!!

There is a main stage for trophy presentation, and indoor plumbing!!!!! Yeah baby! We will even have some make you sick Fair style food there so you can get your grub on.

MSE (MARK ELDRIDGE) IS HOSTING HIS SQ SEMINAR PRIOR TO THE EVENT. If you have not attended this, it is a must!

Currently we are working on bringing back the tweak and tune tents hosted by major sponsors!!!! More on this as it develops.

This is a great opprotunity to compete against the strongest vehicles in the nation, and Mexico. Many world champions attending this show with the strongest industry support in the nation. I have already signed more major 12 volt sponsors than USACI had at WORLD FINALS 2008.

There will also be magazine coverage.

You guys have plenty of time to build and prepare for this event. I dont want any excuses from you peeps. This will not be an event to miss, I promise. Call me with any questions at the shop.

Monty Jones - Quick question for you concerning the scoresheets. If we are parking inside, are you going to negate the alternator whine/engine noise scoring?

Not that it matters to us, but I doubt the fire marshall will let the judges start each car while parked in the hall.

They started all of ours at IASCA.

You can register for both.

With the very small nature of the SQ competition arena within the industry, there's no way you can get 6 truly qualified judges together with all of the top cars, and not have some conflicts. Good judges, if they know something about a particular vehicle, will likely judge it more critically than the judges that haven't heard it before. There will be a few coflicts, but it's just a fact of life now. Personally, I want the best judges, and getting them will mean that there will be some conflicts in both directions.

I am posting so that everyone is aware that I am fully aware of and have actively addressed the situation. Judges are expected to stay away from any of the competing vehicles from now until they judge the cars at the TSS. If it is found out that any of the judges have listened to a particular car or offered specific SQ tuning advice to a competitor between now and the show, that judges score will be entered as a zero for that competitor's car, and it will be averaged with the rest of the scores. That would effectively take them out of the running for any of the top five places.

We dont want anyone to feel as though this show has any unfairness in any way, so this is being posted. If you have any questions or input, please feel free to contact me.

I have been instructed to tell that the money round judges will be announced a week prior to the show. Before the questions and phone calls start Monty is out of the country on vacation and can not be reached, I do not know who the judges are so please do not start hammering me for the info. Monty and I split up duties for this show so He and I have not discussed the judging list. I hope to see everyone at the show if you have any other questions please call (903)534-8283.

Ahh that just about rules me out, I need the certifed score and my schedule just isnt going to let that happen.

Mini that would work, but I still have to qualify on Saturday too, Im gonna try and figure something out, might just have to host a double point db drag down this way.

I just want to clear up any questions regarding the Advanced SQ Seminar that had been talked about early on, that might be done in conjunction with the TSS. It would have to be on the Thursday and Friday before the show, and while a few people have been interested in attending, most can not take that much time off.

So, anyone interested in attending one of the seminars, let me know while we're at the show, and let's see if we can schedule one on another weekend in a location that will allow everyone that wants to attend to do so.

WE are doing a seminar in Houston on June 27, 28.

I've got the two middle weekends in July open, and a couple available in August.

Show times: Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 june 6th and 7th
Registration for competitors in all orgs and classes is Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (noon)

competitor meetings times will be announced early Saturday morning.

All Spl classes are outdoors.

If you are competing in SQ, or have a demo booth setup times are as follows:

competitors are allowed in from 12:00 noon - until midnight on Friday June 5th. 1/4 tank of gas or less.

Tape all extention cords to the floor with duct tape.

Electricity is paid for by Performance Audio, but competitors are responsible for power supplies. Any unsafe use of electrcal products and the competitor will be asked to disconnect. Electrcity is not availble outdoors.
