| I GET MY HANDS ON ALUM STRIPS WHEN THEY ARE NEEDED. MOSTLY 1 INCH WIDE AND HOWEVER LONG NEEDED WITHIN REASON. DIFFERENT THICKNESSES THOUGH SO KEEP ME IN MIND .

| Copper plated bars are alot more efficient than aluminum. Ohm a copper plate from one end to the other and do the same for aluminum, There is a big difference. Buss Bars are only needed for HIGH amps. A setup with good high strand wire is in most cases is plenty sufficient. A thicker buss bar is not going to help much either. The only reason for upgrading thickness is to combat heat. If a 1/8 thick bar gets it done without getting warm/hot then your good. You would usually just get a wider bar also as it gives you more surface area. And as you know electricity travels on top of the metal and not through it. This is why high strand wire is prefered, the more wires the more surface area. | |
