| Ralph One question, how do you purpose us to understand OR make a INFORMED choice when we as a whole are not INFORMED of anything? All I have seen since this whole stinking mess started is that it was unavoidable and had to happen. Why dont you take a few and INFORM the membership of how AND why? I thought it was pretty bold for you to, without hesitating jump on a member posting his opinion on the matter and then to say (more or less) if you dont have a solution to the problem in Omaha then you dont want to hear it!!!! How would members have a solution to a problem that they weren't even made aware of in the first place!!!! All in all I think a whole lot of this could have been avoided with a little or ALOT of communication from the USACI office to the membership!
So what will it be? Does the membership deserve a explinantion or is it just gonna be the normal "if you dont like it go play somewhere else"?
And before the flamming begins Im not trying to start anything here I just couldn't believe that I havn't seen one post from USACI explaining WHY! LUNDY

| There are three major factors that determine a depression. We have only seen 1.5 of these. If you honestly believe we are in a depression then you become part of the cause. There will always be ups and downs. Granted these are bigger then normal, but still we will recover. Luck does not favor the ill prepared.
As far as finals goes ... "stuff" happens no matter what! Granted a lot of things can be avoided through better awareness ... but some things are just meant to happen.
If you don't want to go, that is cool ... no one is forcing you to go. If the venue change is a reason because of the added distance, that is understandable ... not everyone has crazy disposable income. If you can go now because of the venue change cool.
More then ever have I ever wanted an election over with. I know Obama will win, so lets just say it and move on. For the record I support neither candidate this go around so I will not be voting for a presidential candidate.

For Immediate Release.
USACI announced today that the 2008 USACI World Finals and Tuner Jam will be re-locating to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in Texas. Every effort is being made to keep the current dates. Event specifics including hotels will be updated frequently over the next week. Despite incredible efforts and input on behalf of the Omaha retailers and USACI, there were obstacles to the event in the Omaha market that could not be overcome.
USACI would like to thank Stereo West, Inphase Audio, Nebraska Furniture Mart, and Metro Audio for all their efforts. "While we at USACI are disappointed to be making a change so late in the season we welcome the opportunity to take USACI Finals back to Texas and develop a new venue" stated Ralph Randall, USACI's president. "We also have several forthcoming announcements coming about our new finals sponsors and the plans for our new venue!" he continued. These announcements can be expected over the next 5-7 days.
USACI has a very strong support base in the mid-south region that includes Texas and the move will undoubtedly increase not only competitor attendance but spectator turnout as well. Several manufacturers have already committed to support the event and we expect several more in the next two weeks. www.usaciworldfinals.com will be updated as contracts are secured. Please visit the site regularly. HOLY FREEKING SHIZNIT! My beef stew just got a little chunkier! I live in Grapevine Texas and have not been able to go to world finals sense 2001. This is great news! Now i'm going to work hard to get the points and be ready for world finals!

| If I start trying to explain it will start a finger pointing contest that would get out of hand. Putting blame on anyone just causes hard feelings and we do not wish to burn bridges. To keep it simple, during a recent organizational meeting we were told we could not count on the financial support we needed and were expecting in Omaha . After a week of discusssion and trying to get everything back together we received an e-mail stating that despite the best efforts by two of the sponsors we could not count on the support we needed and should move the show. We did. End of story.
We have two Major sponsors wanting us to make the move to Texas and willing to take up the financial and promotion support. We did what was best. If we continued with the finls in Omaha it would have failed miserably, without doubt.

| I think you all need to step back from the forum and build for the event. If you are not going to show up, then its your own loss. I know people have jobs and companoes to deal with and bussiness always come first. Be happy you have a place to play. With the ecconomy the way it is, we are lucky to be here. There is alot here that not many cities have. We have great hotels that won't rape you, we have awsome dinning areas that the whole family can enjoy, we are going to have a butt load of cars so there will be competion, and enough watering holes and tite bars as well as full nude bars. The night life in the city as well as Ft. Worth is top notch and you will have fun where ever you stay. With Rob, Jimbo, Shades, Ace's, Team Texas and a whole bunch of other teams from Texas, you will be hung over with a smile the next day or in jail with one of these teams saying how much fun that was. | |

| Looks like it will be at the state fairgrounds in Dallas. Will move to Will Rogers in Fort Worth for 2009. Same weekend as before. Will have 24-hour security, free trailer parking (saves many $100.00), and more. And, since finals was moved at the last minute and the change will impact a great many competitors, anyone traveling more than 500 miles will receive a discount on entry fees. This may not make up for all the extra expense but it adds up. 1. Free secure trailer parking ($100 savings) 2. Clubs and groups can RESERVE space together @ no charge. 3. 20% entry fee discount (1st entry) for those traveling more than 500 miles. 4. Points cutoff will be extended to October 19, 2008. Invites will still mail on October 10 so those who qualify later will have to call in to register. Like I said, not a lot but hopefully it will add up. I know it will on our end! LOL
