USACI WORLD FINALS - 09/26/2008

For Immediate Release.

USACI announced today that the 2008 USACI World Finals and Tuner Jam will be re-locating to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in Texas. Every effort is being made to keep the current dates. Event specifics including hotels will be updated frequently over the next week. Despite incredible efforts and input on behalf of the Omaha retailers and USACI, there were obstacles to the event in the Omaha market that could not be overcome.

USACI would like to thank Stereo West, Inphase Audio, Nebraska Furniture Mart, and Metro Audio for all their efforts. "While we at USACI are disappointed to be making a change so late in the season we welcome the opportunity to take USACI Finals back to Texas and develop a new venue" stated Ralph Randall, USACI's president. "We also have several forthcoming announcements coming about our new finals sponsors and the plans for our new venue!" he continued. These announcements can be expected over the next 5-7 days.

USACI has a very strong support base in the mid-south region that includes Texas and the move will undoubtedly increase not only competitor attendance but spectator turnout as well. Several manufacturers have already committed to support the event and we expect several more in the next two weeks. www.usaciworldfinals.com will be updated as contracts are secured. We felt that was best to keep the same dates as some took those dates for vacation awhile back and wouldn't be able to re-schedule with this short of notice due to finals being around the corner.

I hope that those that are further away can and will make this drive. Ralph has worked hard to give them discounts and save them money on their traveling expenses by giving them free trailer parking and % off entry.

I know this may be a blow to some, I feel this is a great move for USACi and the competitors.

We look forward to seeing all your smiling faces in TEXAS, except Jimbo we have to live with him down here

I have to say I'm really excited.

After 11 years of competing....to have a major show like finals this close to us....thank you!!!

Driving 12+ hours was the NORM for us for the past 5 years....just to go to a few regional events and finals.

I'm sorry that others will have to drive a ways, but consider this: those of us down here in the South have had to drive a ways for a LONG LONG TIME.

I think it's only fair.

yea...that is it...i googled it and that is the place for sure since it is the cotton bowl like scott said so...

I love going to texas, There will be some big numbers down there for sure. Its been my experience in the past, that when we go to texas our cars get about 1.3 to 1.5 dbs louder without doing a thing.

bring some tylonal so when its all said and done your head wont hurt on the trip home

maybe a stupid question so is this going to be inside or outdoors?

yeah thats what i was wondering, i'm assuming they have a barn or convention type center at the fairgrounds so it can be inside

This is for the state fair of Texas...

Think about all of the live stock that is at a state or county fair.

Most of that is kept inside. They just whip up makeshift cattle pens and throw down some shavings, then when it's all over, sweep it all up, mop the floors and get ready for the next event.

btw - the state fair is going on right now...lasts like a month I think.

sweet i hope they sweep good ...dont want to get cow poo on my tires..lol

We can fit several cars inside and are working on a inside show. If we need we can use outside but would rather fit all your butts inside the building if possible. That is what we are shooting for

heres a good question for usaci. will there be power for all of us to use?? most of us use chargers.

there has to be power there guys...come on now...we have to biggest county fair in the world here in iowa from chris and my home town and guess what they have power in the convention center lol..they prob have events there alot so im can bet they have power...ralph knows we need power...let it be he will make sure all is well...and when are yall figuring on leaving ryan ? thursday before ? just wondering

We are sure they have power, will there be enough is the question, of course it is a large place.

But if you are worried we will also have 2 - 12,000 watt generators - you can rent space off of if needed. I will also bring my generators if needed. I REALLY DON'T THINK WE WILL NEED.

I know in Houston the rodeo, which is very large, has power because of the vendors booths.

With that said I am 90% sure there is power and we will get back with you on prices and such once we find out.

So as of right now there will be some car out side and the power that the competitors will be using will be off of a generator?

No we are sure we can fit everyone inside, it is a very large place but if needed we could use outside, that is what was said.

As far as generators go we shouldn't need them they DO HAVE POWER! We just don't know how much it costs and the rest of the details.

I am just saying if we need it we have it.

Don't make me whip out the stick now...I am trying to answer all questions to the best of my ability to help everyone out. We will have more information very very soon.

Lame question here, how far are hotels from the fair grounds. I'm guessing we are going to leave our vehicles there so I won't have any other mode of transportation.. I'm hoping they are within walking distance, if anyone knows what hotels that are close, real close that would help me out.. Thanks
