| I just bought 6 Alpine Type R's and I was curious if anyone here has used them for SPL at all? If so, what enclosure sizes/tuning worked best for you? Thanks | |

| You goin strictly SPL or what?
I got my 4 12s in 1.5 each @ 35hz and they do just fine on music
Peak @ 44hz, and play pretty low
They dont like the power im giving them for that long, 30sec at full tilt and they will smell like a FIRE haha, just turn it down after and itll be cool
I was actually trying to get 6 12s done but it wont happen for when i want so im not worryin about it
Cant beat em for the price

| I am going for a good blend of daily and SPL leaning more towards daily. They are 12's. I have a single Soundstream PCX2000D to power them for now, that will double in the very near future. I am thinking of going 1.5 cubes NET tuned to 32 so that I can get my lows. According to Win ISD that box peaks in the 45-55 range, so that should be in the area of my resonant freq I am guessing. Any other ideas or am I right on track | |

Need more power Id go a lil bigger if you are only gonna have 4000 watts for 6 12s 1.75 was nice also I went 1.5 to take the power a lil better...but it turned out pretty good on music as well with lower tuning But def., get some more power, they'll be crying for more
