(6)Alpine Type R 12's BNIB 4 ohm DVC

I bought these from Custom Sounds last month at Texas Heat Wave. They are SWR1242D's Dual 4ohm VC 12" Type R's. They are too heavy for me to use all 6 of the in my truck, so I am going to sell these and buy a pair of 18's instead. I am asking $95 plus shipping each. These are brand new, never seen power.

I am located in Austin, TX.

Got pics of the actual subs. I have seen some knock offs running around lately. And that price is hard to beleive.

I can get you some pics of the actual subs as well as picture of the original receipt if you would like. Also you can call and talk to Gus at Custom Sounds in San Antonio 210-340-4000, he knows me and did the sale, he's the area manager. Just ask him about Glenn and 6 Type R's.

I'll take some pics in a few minutes and post them.

I wonder if I need to raise the price for people to buy them LOL. I just don't feel right selling them for more than I paid.

Guys this looks like a really good deal. The knock offs I have seen running around have all had perfectly round surrounds on them. That's how I could tell them apart. These appear to be the real deal. At an awsome price!

Yeah, they are the real deal. I can offer them at $230 shipped per pair to the lower 48 states. I really want a pair of 18's LOL. If these don't sell tonight, I'm gonna start building the box and they are staying.

EDIT: Not sure if you knew it or not, but the first Type R's that Alpine made had normal round surround and an old school gasket. I just thought of this LOL

These aren't selling, so I am goint to hang onto them, throw 4k watts at them in a ported box and see if I can get close to 150dB

Yep I knew this but there are knock offs going around right now that claim to be BNIB 08 models with the normal looking surround. And guys are getting ripped off.

This is a great deal to anyone interested in the Alpine Type R IMO.

Yeah, the shipping is cheap I think because I did a multiple box shipment and it gives volume discounts.

So did I. It's taking a really long time to sell them. One guy saw my ad on Craigslist and met me locally, another was referred by a friend of mine. I have had over 125 people ask me for shipping quotes and never respond. I don't think charging exactly what it says on Fedex.com is unreasonable LOL. Shipping has been between $20-$35 per sub depending on location.
