Not an excuse. Had to set my priorites to establish myself in life. If I hadn't done that, my life will certainly be different now. Still think about the car. I have more than enough space to store it now. Wish I still have it. My next one will be the 2010 Z28.

Btw.. the test of the original 440 hemi was alot more then the published on the sticker. LOL No such animal. The "original" Hemi was a 392. Then the 426. The 440 had normal combustion chambers. As a matter of fact, the modern era "hemi" that Dodge is pushing now doesn't even have hemispherically shaped combustion chambers......nothing like taking a name and using it for marketing. As for songs..... Hot Rod Lincoln 409 Little GTO Boss Barracuda SS396 That's all I can think of off the top of my head that have cars in the titles, but there are many more that are about cars, Dead Man's Curve, Spirit of America, Little old Lady from Pasadena, etc. Oh, the Beach Boys actually did do a song in the 50-60s called Little Honda.....but they were talking about the little motorcycles they made back then..... One more thing, The Nick Cage version of Gone in 60 Sec. was a remake. The original was made in 73, and the original Eleanor was a 73 Mach1. Sorry, rambling......

| I was about to mention that there is no such motor, 440 six pack?...yeah, 440 hemi?, ahh nope. haha Anywho, I like any fast car. But I also love torque. I have yet to get in a smaller ci powered fwd car and feel torque like that of any larger displacement rwd car. I have a 67ss Camaro I'm building, aluminum heads, 4.56 Strange rearend, 2 stage kit, should run low 10's by the end of the summer. But theres a kid who works for me that has a little Honda, he has about 5 grand total in his car, 4cly turbo, and guess what, it does 10's!!! I think it's cheaper to build a ricer. Fox body Mustangs are an affordable car to build for drag too. But all in all, I prefer American cars for drag racing. Just a preference. Heres my Monte I built last summer, does 10.9 on motor, never sprayed it yet. not sure about jetting and since its 14.1 i'm a little nervous about running it at all. | |
