| Just build the wall as big and strong as your little heart and budget desires. If you build back to the front of the rear wheel wells its usually around 40-45 cubes which is a good start imo. | |

| That's strange. Our Astro van burped at 91hz.
Does it have anything to do with the box design? | |

| box design as well as baffle plays a role, other than that they are all different you can put the exact same box in two different vans and have a huge difference in note. | |

| Well I am kindof new to this spl stuff but I think you can tune your box to any frequency , but the "van" will have a resonant frequency of it's own (some people call that the frequency the "van" likes) matching these two freq.in phase would seem to be a good thing to do it has everything to do with your box design,... but what do I know #@*&^@#! | |

| bandpasses tend to play a little higher than ported when u want them to, lol. scott is right actually though. if you actually sweep an astro before you build it for resonant frequency, it tends to be 69-73hz depending on how solid the vehicle is. they tend to be quite a bit louder if you can get the note that high without shrinking the box horribly. well thas what i heard anyway. | |
