[b]well i see my roll call got of topic so im making this thead so feel free to chat about anything here. i love street beat its my favorite out of all the other classes. i will one day be loud enough to talk smack.

well when you get into port sizes there is where i am lost myself. if you have a term lab u can build the port however u want and testit on the term and go from there i have heard of guys doing that, jus that it takes longer. u could buy bass box pro and use that it tells u everything u need to know every sheet of wood u have to cut and how long and how big your port should be. luckly i have a good friend who has the program and he and i work together on building this next box i have planned

no meter but i just bought a laptop so i'll get one in a few weeks

yea i already have the laptop just need to be able to test and find out my sweet spot.

i use one at the local shop, it's a audio control though.

i bet that helps to be able to test. i have to run like 3 extra RUNS just to try different posittions in my car and maybe find the right spot to put the mic. i know one are 2 ways ill try and i should hit 146plus but i think my car can do 148 ill have to fine that perfect sweet spot

its not just a sweet spot its really what freq resonnace your car is at. then find out how much cu.ft u have in your trunk and build a new box around that.
take u a 10 or one of the dd12's u have put one in a perfet cubed box and place in the trunk to and play different tones. this will work best with a meter or one of those db meters by scoushe they came out like a few years back don't know where u can find one now. for example fire the sub up and at the rear of the car go through some tones then move it forward with the sub firing into the cab, then move it back with sub firing to the rear. i mean its some work u have to put into it. i say take one of your day's off and just work on that cause u will waste a lot of money trying to get loud buying new subs and amps

i will get a TL basshed and i just want to feel out my setup before i rebuild. ill only rebuild after i buy a TL. i feel you on the freq. i just call it the sweet spot

? what are you sayin man, 2-12's will most certainly do a 157 on a burp, and talonesi did a 48-49 and some change in sb with one 10 last year, just cause you havent seen it doesnt mean it cant happen.

kasey the only way to learn is jump in and try, ask lots of questions. if you need help pm me ill try to help im sure there are few ppl on here that could tell you i try to help the best i can, if i dont know an answer i do know someone who does and i pick up the phone and give them a call. keep the box you really like set it aside when you build a new one and test it and see if its better you knw so on and so forth. kickers website has a diagram of how to wire amps its basic but it is a start. hope this helps you out man. o an by the way how far are you from houston, i may be moving there early next year

well thanks for the help hellrzr. i have to get a TL first before i start to build and building boxes are easy i just dont know port sizes and the exact space i need per woffer. i might not know alot abouit this sport i read alot and some of the top guys have a bass car for bass only. well i dont and im not going to have my setup sound like crap. i figured i would step it up a notch when i got a bass car which will happend. thanks again HELL/ im not far from houston bro 2 and a half hour drive. i wouldnt mind coming up there to learn a few pointers bro. i live in louisiana right at the border. that drive isnt to bad.
