cool thanks 82 i do have a new song thats hits alittle lower and it seem to be louder so i may emprove my score with that. i am getting my sb2 cd soon and maybe i can find my perfect song on their. ill go read that thead

I have two 13.5 JL Audio W7's with a JL Audio 1000/1 pushing each. I recently entered Street Beat and I like it. Mike Jaffie put me in sB3 because I am bigger than 12's. (That Sucks) Now I am going against 15's.
I recently hit 141.7 dB. I used Disturbed end of track 7. More ideas will be welcomed. I usually use 32-34 Hz tone and usually get 149.9 dB. So I need a song with that tone.

Well I think you should have kept the goliath, but to each their own, now you just need 2 more 2400s and another Z2.

why do you think i should of kepted the goliath. which i still have, its geting fixing at mst car audio. i blew half the amp and they are going to change out my entire power core. be like new. to me personal the golaith isnt half the amp the Z2 is. why would i need another Z2 the one i have can easily blow the 9512g. i mean with ease. i have that amp at alittle over half. i can still blow them if i tune my radio to high. and yes im getting 2 more 2400s bro one is in the mail as we speak i should get it this week for sure. which will bring my total to 3 batts...im going to be useing the goliath on two of the tens on my next setup and i may get one more amp and bam wall 4 10s and its on like donky kong

I could have swore you said you were running sb2 so that would mean you would have to have 2 9512gs right? Composite cone? I ran an american bass vrl400.1 (4000@1ohm) to my Audioque hd3 and its cone is weaker then the DD although closely related, the Aq took it like a champ just have to be careful what your playing, if its good clean power your fine. 2 Z2s 1 per 9512 and you would be SICK loud! Jeremiah no PORN pics of your amps yet?! I cant wait to see them all!!!!!

yes i have the 12s and they only have reg. cone. u keep telling me add another z2 but the one has made the voice coil stink once already so the amp is down. one z2 is to much for one 9512g that 6k for a burp maybe not SB.

Have you smelled them before ? sometimes the extra glue is the only thing makeing it smell after that they are golden in most cases.

i think you are right cuz the first time they were played the smell funny and i wasnt getting on them to the point they would blow soo i think maybe the glue did in fact heat up and thats what i smelled. matt s was their the day i put the Z2 in my car and the amp was up 3/4 of the way and he hollared at adam turn the amp down that he smelled voice coil. so the Z2 is alittle to much for the 9512g. i dont think i need one more Z2. now if i had a Z1 then i would agree with jmanr.

The Z1 is in the same power range, and tuned at 51hz again you should be problem free, and with 2 Z2s you can be easy with the gain etc....but to each their own, I know personally that sub will handle 6k-8k of clean power for SB!!

whats a good score for sb1, think 151 will be high enough for finals, probably not, but you never know

Well I know of 3 guys that are over 51 now, but like you said you never know. I think a good score for sb1 is a 53.....

really jman i thought the g series could burp only 6k. so why did my voice coil started to smell when the amp was as a higher gain and i know adam poped one of his 15s with this very amp. he had 2 and pulled a 149 point something

for kicker 151 is a great number bro but i really think 151 is only good for local wins to really be tough for finals 153 maybe top 3 but dave is bringing the noise in a rex i think he will be 154 or 155. i do hope this helps some i didnt want to burst you happy 151 bubble. look i only get 146 for sb2 and i know i need 155 to really be good. i am in the same boat

But really, I think sb1 will be close to 55, but over a 53 for sure at finals. I will be happy just breakin a 40 with a single 10 out of my trunk.LMAO

yea matt i will be happy if i can pull 148 with my setup. ill find out at the next show wish i had a TL to test first but ill go blind and hope i hit it right.

well i am yet to even try sb, so 151 may be migher than what i start with, i'm not saying i'm doing that number, but rather a goal for me to get to after i do get started then keep on working up from there, i hope all the loud people can make it to finals, i know they have much more time and experience doing sb than me, because to date i have not even tested for sb

youn not by yourself bro ive never competed in bass competition. ive only been to one competiton and thats the san antonio heat wave and i took 3rd place which was last place. i loss second by only 1 tenth knowing my car coulf do 147. i was not a happy person that day. i am sure you will be ok what kind of car you have is it a crx

damn i am wayyyy behind son i have taken the last 3 shows with a 139.7 i mean nothing more and nothing less using mostly bass mechinc and magic mike final fronteir. so i know i need to up mines. of course i only have 1200 watts of power too, i have burped a 141 with a new box last weekend and i am now looking to build another one and add a drycell battery to replace the under hood battery hopefully keep my car charged. looking for some songs to play something new. i got the new rich boy but the bass nots are not as long as i would like them to be or does it matter?

i was reading alot and noticing alot of ppl doing sb2. is it because it has the most common amout of subs in it? like 2-12's,4-10's,1-15,heck even 8's? i thought about starting at sb1 last year and working my way up from there. last year final scores were pretty low sb1, sb2. 2nd year out those scores will jump up alot. just courious why.
