| Man there is a great post over in another forum about eliminating noise. I'll try to find it and shoot you some places to start looking. It's a little late for me tonight but I will dig tomorrow.
Have you tried ground every piece of equipment including HeadUnit in the same place? I have found that running both power and groung to the HU from the source that amplifiers in paticular are getting their P&G from helps some. Try some ground strapping too.

| I actually have to use two of these in my 00 Mercury Cougar, but they worked pretty good, and are fairly in-expensive... Stinger SGLI | |

Stinger SGLI Only as a last resort. If you have to use a GLI (ground loop isolater) then there is a ground loop that needs your attension.

| NO, don't put a bandaid on it. Do a search on some of these car audio sites for noise and you will come up with all kinds of information. | |

| jkrob21 has the right idea. The best way to take care of noise issues is to fix the installation side of it first. Use a distribution block and ground everything to that block. Your headunit, your eq, every amp... This way all audio components only have one path to ground through, and this will eliminate the ground loop potential. Make sure the wire that goes from the ground block to a solid ground is big (4g, 2g, 1/0g...) and goes to a very solid ground point. ALL paint must be sanded off; use a nut and bolt instead of a screw to secure the terminal to the metal; put some silicone over the grounding bolt location to keep down corrosion. Also upgrade the ground wire on the battery.
In our car we actually have a dedicated 1/0 power AND ground ran from the battery back to the audio system. This eliminates any chassis resistance in the form of spot-welds, panel adhesives, etc. This may be a little more expensive (another 15-20 ft of 1/0) but we have no question as to the integrity of the ground.
Once you fix all installation problems, then you can work on other factors like RCA's, amplifier gains, and so on.

| What he said. I will try to find the post I know of for noise trouble shooting. It picks up after install is eliminated and walks you through checking equipment and other possible sources for noise. | |

| on a lot of the Pioneer headunits ,you need to ground one of the rca sheilds to kill the noise . they have a part that often goes bad inside causing the noise if you have a poor / bad ground on the deck or the amps . grounding just one of the many outer sheild on the rca output connectors solves the problem . | |
