| Did you guys do this? LOL Trying out some caps. Wanted to get some assistance on really how to use them safely. On a 12 and 16v system... On the 12v are you doing 6 2.2v caps = 13.2v or what is the end voltage to go by. Dont want to over charge or under charge and have issues. | |

| If you get the 16.2 volt boost caps. They have a balanced setup. They will trip a discharge til they come back to safe voltage. But best to just not over charge. If you go with single calls. Get the 2.7. Don't worry about under charge | |

| Keep in mind the single cells will not stay balanced. Just because they are 2.7 volt and you have them all wired to 16.2 volt. Nothing is controlled on the change. One could be at 2.0 one 1.7 and one 3.0 and what not. That's why i sold the 42 cap bank i had last year and got the balanced 16.2 setup | |

| the 2.5's would just melt or the new 2.7's will?
I just talked with a friend and he gave me the scoop on charging and such.... seems this the route ill be going.
Ill get 6 i suppose and go from there to find out if i need to purchase more.

| Sounded like they may have been over charged too many times and the circuitry may have wore out but ? Amps just fail sometimes too? | |

You can get the balancing kit for the individuals that wire into your bank. A friend just got some with his set up. | |

| I think people are way to concerned with the balancing thing. I have accidentally charged my 6 cells.. 15v banks to like 16.2 before. And 15.5-15.8 about a million times. Now, ive never taken my banks apart to see how different the voltage per cell is. But im guessing its much different than what everyone thinks. I doubt 1 cell is at 2.5 while others are at 1v or something . I do know my voltage dropon 4 banks is much less than what fishes pretty banks drop to. At least what i thought i saw. 2 d5 drop 4 banks from 15.5 to 14.7-.8 for me. | |

| Better off with caps or batts not together. Unless you use a breaker to run batteries alone for street beat and caps for burps | |
