| So are you saying that you can't run 14v battery in sb4, being that when the bass hits 16v batt. will be below 15.5 then say go, during a 30 sec. run will never be above 15.5. Making it a legal run right? | |

| Mr. Sandman I was told to talk to you, the rules says 15.5 does not say 12v batt. only, also says size does not apply to unlimited classes. All that should matter is that my voltage does not go above 15.5 I talk to Jenissa she agrees but want me to ask you to | |

| ralph has put out that you can not run batts that rest over 12.9v
even though you can run 15.5 you must achieve this with an alternator and not the batts internal voltage itself | |

| **The physical size of each battery is limited to 800 cubic inches (13110 cubic cm) or less. (Height x Length x Width. Excluding the battery terminals.) The physical shape of the battery is irrelevant. A 12 volt battery is defined as a battery that has a nominal terminal voltage of 12-Volts, consists of 6 internal series-connected cells, and is lead/acid or gel-type. A 16 volt battery is defined as a battery that has a nominal terminal voltage of 16-Volts, consists of 8 internal series-connected cells, and is lead/acid or gel-type. A battery shall have no more than two “unique” battery terminals connected to the system, one being positive and the other being negative. Batteries with more than two posts connected to the vehicle or system will be counted as multiple batteries. Batteries that exceed these 800 cubic inches or exceed allowed number of cells will be considered multiple batteries. (Example: 801-1600 cubic inches is tow batteries. 12 volt battery with 7 to 12 cells would be two batteries, and so on). | |

| 14 volt batteries are 12 volt batteries with 7 cells correct? sb4 clearly states unlimited is for size goes, if you don't mind me asking where does it say a battery cannot rest higher then 12.9v | |

| It's good that you ask , but also I recommend to know the rules of your class . Good luck on your SB4 built , SB classes are tough . They were meant to be stock and fun , but they could be tough . | |
