| Say you have 3 dual 1 subs Can you wire 2 series and 1 parallel to make a lower ohm load. I was told this was possible but I have my doubts. | |

| Yeah it's fer reals. I never did it before and I would rather be educated to the fast than to go tearing anything up finding out. Don't gots a heavy bankroll to be replacing everything | |

| Ok guys, i will explain, when you wire 2 subs in series (dual 1ohm) then you have essentially (2) 2ohm loads, then when you wire that 3rd sub in parallel for .5ohm, you have 3 values, 2ohm, 2ohm, and .5ohm; the sub wired in parallel is 1/4 the resistance of the other two, then if all 3 loads are in parallel for a final .33 ohm load, the power will not be distributed equally among the 3 subs, the sub wired in parallel will see way more power than the other two which are wired in series. Specifically if you distributed say 1000w among the 3 subs, the two subs wired in series would see 166w each and the one sub wired at .5 would see 667w alone since the load is not equally distributed. It's all ohm's law. | |

| What jeff says for .33 is no different if you wired each sub to 2ohm and then parallel them for .66 strapped. | |
