Actually, this isn't true. I'll be making plaques for the winners and we already have some donations for prizes. For example... ToolMaker is donating some copper quad inputs. Tasty. So I guess you are running the event on caco? Because my son is running this one and the one on caraudio.com and he is doing plaques out of his own pocket and he is working on much larger prizes then that. Also, I think the rules are different from Pro-Rabbit's to yours.

| Hi Pro-Rabbit's mom (I understand the username now)!
To the best of my understanding, it's one umbrella competition run by your son. Same rules, prizes, and people. TaylorFade and I are just the media outlets for CACO and USACI forums, respectively.
I don't expect that we'll have territory disputes, unless the prizes get too lucrative (LOL). I know some people who'd stab a nun if she were standing in the way of free stuff. That's why I'm trying to minimize the winnings... to keep things fun and light-hearted.

| It was a fun experiment for small-box theory. These subs don't have the motor strength for it though. They were getting unstable without much power.
According to Bass Box Pro, they require something like 3 cf per woofer... and I read a few comments from a guy who tested them extensively, and he said big box = loud box
Next time I'm thinking ~10 cf box with internal ports. Should be significantly more appropriate.

| I looked all over the web and from my findings, the Audiopipe amp and 4 hifi subs = over $200 plus shipping, unless you can tell me where to find 4 of those subs for $57. | |

| It's been on my mind since day one of the post. I just cant understand how they can get that AP amp and them subs for $150 dollars. I wouldn't say it's a problem though, there are at least 2 or 3 people that have that same setup. Somebody can simply share where they purchased and for how much and then the rest of us will see that it in fact can be bought for $150. If they can't do that then there will be a problem. | |

| i dont think there will be a problem at all , this is all about the build , not how much money you have to spend ...... if you can buy the said amps/subs for 150 or less so can everyone else , that means that it can not be used or on sale for one day only , it means anyone anytime can get that item for that price . that is the way i understood it . retail price , ebay , big box stores , walmart , etc...not craigs list , or a local pawn shop . etc.... | |

| It's $150 + Shipping.
Not sure where the point got lost... but this is not like normal USACI event. You don't try to cheat the system and push the rules, just to edge out the next guy. You buy some cheap gear, show off how loud you can get it, and have fun with it.
For the record, there are much "better deals" than what I went with... where you buy $5 woofers with $50 shipping, etc. Hifonics HFi's have an inventory cost of $11 or 12. Even Amazon has them for $15+shipping. 2 packs can be shipped to your door for around $40 from VMInnovations (with the right code). Even if you just do 3 HFi's, it's 90% build and 10% gear.
Back on topic, just like street beat, you have to put in the time researching (instead of songs, it's gear). Just like in SPL, you have to find the box, amp settings, and cabin tweaks to dial in your number.
I see alot of complaining and not alot of testing. Even my 138.5 dB puts me above the guys who don't try.

| relly it not worth the time since no one give a damn about your score uless you one of them , is juist like most forums if you are not one there GURE'S no one is going to pay attention to your score i just did a 146.6 in video and last lite did a over 147 in the trunk with under 150.00 dollars .but , not interested to post at all no more . it's hard to be completely ignore . I guess I am not a big competitor on other forms . so I decided to do the 1 db per dollar ,but just for the USACI MEMBERS TO SEE , IF YOU KNOW MW YOU BELIEVE IF YOU DON'T ...........................I GIVE A DAMB .BUT , I am done [posting on other forums .................sorry. | |

| whats wrong , someone didnt stroke your ego..........didnt say WOW great job.........you need to be a little thicker skined to be on any forum , or a team , a score of 146-+ is actually nothing compared to to days stock/trunk spl scores in usaci , only because they are built for one purpose brrrrrr., five years ago that was loud as hell around town , we had comps and the winners barely did that number with a pair of twelves on a 1000-2000 watt amp , so doing it with 150 dollars of product is good , its just like drag racers , i am sure the numbers at the track are faster now , every thing evolves , the question in will the competetors and or the org change with it , nascar has prob., seen changes over the years , any way got of track.... you dont have to be a vet., to get respect , but dont expect it , earn it. | |

| Darn , great answer cause that is the way I made it sound , but I was not what I wanted to say in totality . I think is a good idea and actually support it .I just think there should be an area where you should post your score and see other peoples scores , not just enter a site and try to post . Because you are totally correct and that is the reason I don't post in many forums ,I post here cause I know almost everyone in person . I guess what I simply wanted to say is make a place somewhere where you can post and see the scores. Again TAZ thanx ,for put it clear great answer , you are even right about the ego .Is good to pump up peoples ego's and do better. | |
