2010 Finals

First topic message reminder :

What time of year is best for holding Finals?

I suggest late July, when the majority of the "new guys" we are trying to attract can actually attend, you know before school starts up...... The Finals could possibly be held outdoors under a big tent and the expense could shrink tremendously... (no need for a large indoor venue)

I would not want my young son or daughter brought into the realm of this at a Public car show. This is entertainment that should be only for the afterparty. Surely there is some better way of getting the people into the show without bringing in this sort of entertainment.

The best way to get people through the gate is to have something that they either want to see, or want to be a part of...

Very true I agree, but models are nice to have around I see both sides and personally if the girls were no more till the afterparty I doubt people would not come cause of something like that! This is a car show and not a wet t shirt contest lol!

This is exactly what I was getting at with my suggestions in the general forum. Very few seemed interested in actually changing our image though.

I was personally a little disgusted that we had a display on the show floor vendor area with some chicks wrestling. C'mon...tasteless in my opinion. We don't need THAT...if we need THAT to get the crowd then I'm doing the wrong thing and should go elsewhere.

i dont care when wf finals would be... it would be nice if it were yet still a lil closer to central us....and as for the half neked wrestle hoes.... i thought thats what strip clubs were for.... my boys woulda prolly liked it tho.. they are preteen horndoggs..

Thay just need to let us know where its going to be earlyer so plans can be made . As for as where its going to be at it doesn't matter it takes me 10 hours to get out of texas no matter where it at.

i think the chick thing should be kept to the party stuff not during the show i have 2 girls and sorry im not gana have them there at a usaci show with all the half neked chicks dont get me rong its coool and all but thay are 6 and 11 and i dont want them exsposed to that kinda stuff yet the shows could be a little more family oriated, so when we gana find out about finals ????????????????????? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with the sex side of it needs to be after party, as for the time and place...I like it late summer-early fall and indoors is better to combat humidity witch dampers our spl scores a lil. And what if it rains or has high winds that day? Indoors is the best option.

I have been saying for many years that the November date is terrible. It is cheaper from a venue standpoint but for competitors the holiday time is hard to take off. Also, you have the weather factor, other events. I always thought late summer would be best, more vacation time for people and also might be able to expand market to kids out of school. I know for the weekend before Thanksgiving it is difficult for me to take off from the university.

I liked the date and location last year. What are the chances of having some consistantcy regarding finals? Every year the date and location changes. Why can't we stay in one city for more than a year? I think we all behaved pretty well this past year. Not like the last year we were in K.C.

Hi Ralph I liked the finals in Octuber but I like location in Dallas Texas
