OK HERE GOES WHY IS IT THAT IF YOU RUN STREET BEAT ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ATTEND 1 SHOW AND BLAMMO YOUR IN FOR FINALS. WHEN OTHER CLASSES/DEVISIONS NEED TO OBTAIN 200 POINTS THROUGH OUT THE YEAR. YOU GUYS DID A GOOD JOB NURSING THIS CLASS INTO THE LANES, BUT NOW ITS THE BIGGEST DEVISION YOU HVE AT FINALS, AND THEM GUYS HAVE AS MUCH TIED UP IN THERE SYSTEMS AS I DO MONEY WISE. SO WHY IS IT THEY GET A FREE PASS?????????????????

it should be a new guy can get a sb invite after one event, but the guys that have been doing it for awhile should have to get points. that way it's fair to the vets and also brings in the new guys

Sanman, your getting all pissy and bent out of shape over a class you don't compete in. Nobody knows why it's set up that way, other then ralph. He says it's that way so it is. 10k is 10k I'll agree with you there. But like skip said 3 seconds vs 30 seconds there's more room for damage in the time difference. Maybe that's why it's like that.

You can also look at the average SB system has nowhere near the power to a sub as the average burper, sure there are excpetions to that but whats gonna be harder on the equipment 30 seconds of SUPPOSEDLY alternating music, not tones, with say ~1000 watt+ or 6000+ to a sub for 3 seconds. Its really a trade off, neither is gonna be the right answer it varies too much. At the same time the whole I play 30 secs vs your 3 secs isnt enough to justify the difference in points requirement.

I think the point requirements were originally set low to build interest in people in the SB classes attending finals. Most of the people who attend finals have nearly enough points as to whats required for the SPL lanes so to me its a non issue.

maybe thats why sb is still large. if you make it 200 points...ppl will say see ya!!!!

the rteason why they stay well ther not even lucrative if you ask me 1 show and done till finals if they even attend finals so this is a useless class to me

You say sb is a useless class, well people can say the about burp class. That's not a valid point either. Scott has a point about the power issue, to a cerian extent. A sub manufacturer's rate there subs with a rms rating. But most good company's will tell you that there subs will take a Dung Pile load more power on a burp then on music. I'll have enough points so it doesn't matter to me. But what about the new guys trying to get excited about the sport? The point issue helps them greatly.

well first off i didnt say burp classes were useless, i said people can say that just the way you said sb is. second as stated i'll have enough points so thats not a problem. and third you can direct that sb5 comment to others, because i am in sb5. win or loss im in sb5. you make a good point about the points situation, but you just got to deal with it. just like myself and others have to deal with burp cars playin in sb.

Because the average spectator can relate more to a musical vehicle then an SPL vehicle.
