Did you know, if you compete in Intermediate Pro or Consumer class, you are allowed to compete at Finals even if you do not have enough qualifying points?
"Competitors who do not have enough points to qualify for finals in a class/division may elect to compete in the Expert class at finals." ----'09 Usaci SQ rules
Did you know it is forbidden to go back if you wanted to remain in Intermediate class the following season?
"Any competitor who has previously competed in USACI advanced or expert division may not compete intermediate." ----'09 Usaci SQ rules

1. yes...you can always elect to do Q or Expert if you don't have enough points and still make a finals appearance.
2. You progress intro to intermediate to advanced. Can't go backwards....but, if you are going from consumer to pro with an R&E decision, going on your own accord that is and not bumped, you may be able to go from consumer advanced to intermediate pro.
