This is basically the same thing but people voted no on the other one. This choice is what they wanted.

Ok I don't get it. Every single person I've talked to or have read their statements say, they do not want to keep pro, they want stock to be 12 volt and 16 volt, no pro, no stock, just 12volt and 16 volt.

So who is voting to keep it the same? Will you please let us know why you voted to keep pro. I'm not saying either way is the better choice, its just I havent heard a reason from someone who voted to keep Pro and Stock as they are.
Thats what polls are all about, gettin your opinions out, so lets hear'em.

Nobody appreciates the time the few of us are putting into these topics or taking them seriously at all.

Jeff, I don't care what they think. And to be honest I think a lot of the people who voted were just screwing around and thats why they cant leave a msg stating why.
It has nothing to do with "oweing Zac Davis" an explanation at all, nope, not at all.

The reason i was asking is USACi deserves the explanation.
Isnt that the point of a poll?, to get other people's opinions.
When we tell eachother the reason we voted for something we understand why we voted.
If everybody talked about the reasons they voted one way or another we would have all the pros and cons out on the table.
It's much easier for USACi to decide matters when they understand the reasoning behind our thoughts and votes.

I don't really care if people want to keep Pro as it is, it doesnt affect me one way or another. I'm just trying to put it out there to the public.
We've been hearing that Pro is bs from countless members for a couple years now, almost all think it needs to be changed because its so hard to police. I cant think of a single person who thinks it should stay as is. Thats why it's so hard to believe half of the anonymous people who voted in this want it to stay the same.
If they truly feel that way, how come they cant say why?

-I go to competitions and compete, I pay entry fees just like anybody else.
-I spend days at a time on this forum thoroughly reading threads.
-I go out of my way to recruit consumers into USACi, even give deep discounts to customers if they buy a USACi membership.
-I do my part as a Competitor Committee member by listening to the members in my area and posting their ideas and thoughts on this forum.

But somehow it always gets turned around on me that I'm pushing my own ideas or some other b.s.
I've about had it with this organization's forum. Most of the people on here are total azzholes who look for nothing but conflict, or some sorta way ta make a mockery of another member's thread.(not necessarily this thread or mine for that matter, anybody who has a legitimate idea gets flamed)

As for this thread, AGAIN JEFF, let me say to you, nobody owes me an explanation!
In last poll people gave feedback and said they would rather see the choice of having no Pro at all, so I made a new poll with their suggestion.
But no feedback this time.
When all of us are able to see some sort of reasoning behind our votes we can collectively come up with resolutions that best serve us all. Thats the entire point here. It has nothing to do with me.
I am merely attempting to bring issues out into the public that are discussed at shows and among us through various conversations.
As members of USACi we should value everybody's opinions.
Is it such a big deal to hear ONE explanation of why we should keep Pro as is?

I have a question(no sarcasm), what exactly have you done for USACI? I can honestly say I have no opinion on this poll because I only help run a shop... oh wait does that count as helping the sport? -- Not sure but anyway...

Do you come to these forums and help people with Ohm load questions or Box designs?

I am not exactly positive of your skill set, and your contributions, please enlighten me, I could be completely wrong about you.

Jeff is hard ass and helps no one. I mean no one. In all honest Jeff will give pointers to people and I think out of everyone on the forum I have seen him inspire more people even if it is only because they want to attempt to shut him up.

Still nobody letting us know why they want to keep Pro around.
Personally I like Pro, I also like the idea of having a class that represents a level of prestige.

I've heard many people complain that they're unable to step up to Pro because they have a 12volt system.
I know of 3 people right now that run Stock even though they're sponsored by Optima haha. shhh
Oh well, nobody wants their voice to be heard it doesnt bother me.
I was just giving everybody an opportunity to post in a thread that has to do with a hot issue.

Personally I like the “Pro” thing better than a distinction between 12 and 16 volts as division assignments. Having said that, I dislike the definition of a “Pro.” Maybe it’s just the word “Pro” that I dislike. The argumentative definition is not only a USACi thing … almost every other organization has a somewhat similar paragraph within their rules.

Other possibilities might exist if the division requirements were re-entitled as (example) “Traditional” and “Advanced.” “Traditional” or some similar distinction would be similar to what we now have as “Stock”. “Advanced” would be more difficult to define, much as “Pro” is today. I just have a problem with a stock boy working in the warehouse of an amplifier or speaker manufacturer being referred to as a “Pro.” Yes, he’d probably be entitled to a discount on product but how does that make him a “Pro”? Sponsorship is understandably a concern, but for the most part, not very easily determined or enforced.

If this offering makes any sense, let’s beat it up a little and see if it has any merit. And thanks to Zac for taking the lead on this subject.

Using terms Basic, Advanced etc seems more fitting than stock and Pro but the real problem seems the classification of who is what, dividing it up into 12 and 16v will simplify things allot and virtually eliminate "Grey" area's

I think no one is answering you because they don't want to be pointed at if they made the wrong decision, in someone else's eyes.

I also feel they want to keep Pro as is because your only talking to a few (maybe 10% of USACi members, if that many) not the whole in general. You know most people don't like change and that might be what it is, sad but it is true.
