| If you vote "stay the same" would ya say why ya did? Not many run pro at shows anymore. I don't think its because theres less interest, I think its because many competitors arent willing to run 16 volt setups, so they stay in stock. The poll choices are basic, stay the same, or split Pro into two classes, 12volt, and 16 volt. (14.7 and 18 )
Optima and other 12 volt batt companies could sponsor us if we did. Nobody in Pro right now wants a sponsorship from a 12 volt company because they need 16volt to win. And the guys who need a 12volt sponsorship in stock right now cant have one because it'd force'em to run Pro. Kindof a sticky situation. Splitting it into 12 and 16 seems like a good idea for a few reasons. I cant think of a single reason it'd be a bad one, I'm all ears though...(seriously, they're huge)

| I don't think it should be pro 12/16, just change it to stock 12/16. who cares if this guy works for a shop. alot of the stock numbers r bigger than the ppl who own the shops LOL. . | |

. K, kinda the same thing then. did you vote for pro12/16? I agree with the pro thing, its impossible to keep up with whos pro and who isnt. let anybody run whatever, anybody these days gets dealer cost off ebay anyhow. Might as well keep the ProStock name though, it sounds cooler than plain Stock haha.

Its impossible to determine whos pro and whos not get rid of pro verses consumer so there is no more grey area!!!

pro confuses some people it sounds like a pro is someone thats been in it for a while has won numerous events, championships,wr etc. etc. but its not except for some that have done this and decide to move up. but rowlands definition is dead on what is considered a pro.

| In every other sport pro means you get paid to play or compete (baseball, football, etc) Amatuers don't get paid they do it because they love the sport or want to get to pro and get paid. I'm a pro in Usaci.....why ain't I getting paid to compete?????? We need to do away with the pro classification. Just because I work at a shop I should have to run 16 volts? Our shop doesn't sell 16 v batteries, so now to be competitive I have to run stuff our shop doesn't carry. Not exactly good for business. Regular competitors get the same if not better pricing than shop employees. Hell you can get stuff on ebay new for what dealer cost is on some items if not less. So why are shop employees getting what seems to be the short end of the stick here? | |
