I wanted unmanned. I was prepared for it but the last minute change for finals. I hope next yr it is unmanned..

We did a lot of testing unmanned as well. I am all for it. But "unmanned" is not the correct wording. Db Drag is unmanned. I believe Usaci is just looking at not having a "mic monkey" on passenger side that can manipulate the mic...but the driver will be able to be in the drivers seat to control his system....as in the real world.

i say lets put mokeys in the car to hold the mics

this is true we built our cars for manned now we must build or unmanned

Don and I asked Ralph for his opinion on manned or unmanned while we were at Finals because he had earlier stated that the Finals and the year following would be unmanned. We also suggested that he make the decision soon enough to state it to the competitors while he was on stage. I guess that never happened. Personally, I prefer unmanned, but it really makes little or no difference to me personally.

You have to also take into consideration that some cars get metered on the drivers side. Please make sure this is addressed.

when unmaned was being brought up a couple of months ago i spoke to ralph and he said if louder on drivers side then single person would be on opposite side of meter , didnt mater what side just opposite side for meter

the monkey and the meter have to be on oposite side and you may not use something to munipulate the meter either this has been adressed by ralph already like 3 months ago

with the ports that were in the car I was not gaining 1db+ like other ppl yes your right... if there was a rerun I would have had to change it around correct.... you seen the extra ports I had with me and the woofers in the car had 300+ hits on them no kidding and they were L7s so when I changed to L5s and put someone in the car do you think it would have hit a 163 I do.. but it really dont matter my main point was unmanned (no one in it at all) because you can gain with someone on the other side of the mic also aproxx .1 to .2.....lots of testing does help but the headache that comes with sitting in them sucks..
