| I agree daily driving is horrible on the woofers. that's y I wanted to make sure re cones are available. I was running two boston gt28s pushing 1200rms to each mt woofer. I haven't got any amps picked out for my new set up yet. I have a blow thru in a single cab colorado. I have plenty of batterys and air space for a box. my only pit fall is I can only have a port 10.75"w and 16"h | |

| oh wtf i was thnking you had 12s...so you have over 160inches of port in an 8 cube box? i dont know why guys started doing such bog ports for music boxes...i personally would only have about 80-100inchs at most in a 8 cube box..im blaming that port for tearing them up with just 1200w...i ran a autotek 4k in my explorer on 2 OLDkove army z 15s..rated at 1k rms.for like 2 yrs..nothing comparable to a mt..in a 9cube 90inches of port box..its great for music...and the woofers hold the power just fine...i personally dont do any tunning longer than 13inches either.. | |

| you know that by looking at them? i think people arent really thinking about the fact these woofers are going to get beat on daily ..whats burping and making numbers and holding up that way..means jack $hit to whats going to hold up to daily.. | |

| well even that i cant understand..with 1200w.. ive built a few systems with stock BTLs..with autotek 4ks on each..and some had a pair on the single 4000.. with no problems...thats why im blaming your port.. but im not going to get all into it..ive ran alot cheaper woofers with alot more power with no issues at all..and im defenatly not nice to them...but people are always going to blame the product.. | |

| if its a great sub people will run them at finals and do well, but im thinking the support that competitors will show for rd will be alot better than re this year. | |

| so what? whats that go to do with them holding up to daily abuse? NOTHING...why are you making this a manufacture bash thread? cause i sure remember 2 astros going to finals last year with plenty of RE support...not leaving there cars at home with woofer problems...this isnt a manufacture pissing match jeff.. if hes shredding MTs with just 1200w.. then theres just more to it ... i never once ssaid anything bad about the RD..i simply said ..what makes numbers on the meter dont men jack to daily abuse...ive built some decent daily driver set ups..i just think theres more to it than the product.. | |

| also someone on the team i belong to is now running rd over the solo x 10's and has gained nicely thats pretty good abuse in 30 seconds with about 12k per sub and thats 2 10's
im giving you examples of rd being nice/loud/and what people are going with
re is old/out of buisness well owned by us amps now thats all man

| i didnt think that you dogged my van,you where dogging RE..RE is not the issue.. RE DD FI RD KICKER wtf ever.. just couse it makesa number on the meter done mean anything. thats ALL im saying.. if he was shredding them with 6kw.. then i would say look into a stronger sub..are you really goign to blame the product for tearing aprt with 1200w? i know for damn sure a MT will take 1200w daily..but regardless the spider set up on an mt isnt designed to move enough for music.. but its an older design..oh well.. 1200w still shouldnt be hurting them, like i said ..ive beat the Dung Pile out of a pair of kove army Z 15s with an autotek 4k on the pair for 2 yrs.. with no issues...the woofer is not hte problem here.. | |
