team event

Who besides me thinks it would be cool to have some kind of team event at finals?

if your answer is yes post an idea or format that would be fair, fun and exciting.

I think that each place taken should be worth points (first place 5 points, second 4 points and third 2 points) and those points are divided by the number of teamates (Team must consist of at least 5 or more people) = Best all around team... not just how many people u have.

Or somehting along those lines, maybe the higher classes could be weighted more.

are you talking about a overall team rank for all the classes or
just 5eam members going head to hewad with other teams. what i mean by overall team ranking is counting the 1 2 3 places of a team and you ever has the highest wins. but that wouldnt be fair to a team with less team members. or we can do it 1 stock member 1 ps member one sb member 1mod member

Well, u would have to average the places to make it fair for the smaller teams.. but you would also have to have more than one or two people, becasue one person placing first would win

if it was setup up like wrestling meets I think it would work. Take the dominate classes and have each team with their best guy in that class represent them, kinda like what bailey said though, obviously if your team is small, you would be motivated to make it better to have a better chance to win overall

Talk to Mr. MikeD about this, we tried last year, he already had all the rules and everything

I think also it would pull people togeather more and therefore create more teams than we have now.

We had team challenges out here in AZ. We did not really like the idea but did it just so the competing shops would not win it. As far as the trophy we just voted to who got it afterwards. It meant nothing to us. It might be different at a finals type event. I did how ever vote no for the record.

Not a bad idea but there are not many teams out there that have enough members to do it.

the whole idea is to pull individuals togeather and create more teams as well!

Jaffe use to do a team thing a year or two ago, 5 people on a team, $20 per person to enter, an a 6ft trophey to the winning team.
