In some ways I don't like my idea, but I think it would go a long ways towards correcting a problem that is quickly arising in street beat. 30 second long burps. There are plenty of songs out there that have constant bass for over 30 seconds. Just find the one that fits your frequency range the best, and build your car for the song. But I don't think that was USAC's intentions for street beat. I thought it was for the daily drivers that could play any song well. To get the class back to what the class is intended for, we're gonna have to find some way to keep competitors from building for a specific song, and keep it to where they can play any song. I think random song selection by the judge is the easiest way. Of course everyone would have to play the same song at the same event to keep things fair, but the song could change from event to event with no problems. I to agree with this Idea!!!!! I bought my system for daily when i got it then i got into street beat class and started competitng then i seen that guy's was tunning their car for one note!!!!I like to listen to my system on a daily basis since i drive it to work but i cant do that if i got it tuned to a 55hertz or higher note!!!!!! I say LET THE GROUND )POUNDERS IN!!!!!! That's what a lot of spectators want to see anyway's is a car that can play music really loud!!!!!!!TRUE???????????

| maybe the people that are saying this, should not build song specific systems... i think everyone has fed into this...whats gonna stop someone from haveing a couple extra ports to slide in to suit the song for that comp? in the begining usaci needs to stick to there own rules.....when i started i was under the impression, that street beat was for the new guy's to get them interested?i've never seen them turn any vet away from competeingin streetbeat?the problem is that nobody stops this in the begining, so then every has to do it to stay competitive.... | |

| i think if Usaci even made it where you can pick a song off the Usaci CD and play something off of there would be fine, I know you would have a big decrease in scores from the past but it would get other noobies a chance instead of having people like us research cd's to find a song with a bass tone behind it. Like i said before Street Beat has turned it to a Deathmatch type of comp where you can see how high you can hold a certain number for 30 secs and not worried about the music | |

| i think the only way is to have two sets of sb classes.... beginers and pro and a time limit on how long u can stay in the beginers sb class...that will also help newbies get into it more. knowing they have.... say two years to compete in beginers sb..that way there competeing with someone of equal knowledge of tha sport.... | |

| It would be nice if USAC would do something for us ground pounders. I can play notes up into the 50s, but my amps put me in such a class that if I was to burp my note in the 30s, I don't stand a chance with someone tuned and burpping 60+ notes. I set my truck up for daily. I can't hit anything above 60 hz, but however, I can play notes lower than 20 hz with no probem. Ground pounders like my truck are a dieing breed because there is nothing left for us to compete in. | |

I agree with both IBBANGIN and SPLMAN99!!!!I say let us GROUNDPOUNDERS show the public what 2 12's really feel like when you got a ton of wattage and a low note behind them!!!!! STEVE MEADE is someone USACI need's to look at and see some of his vid's and see how many people hit up his site a day!!!!!!!I do believe that this is what started the competition was by seeing who's system was LOUDEST playing music right???????
