| I agree... picking out a single frequency will in itself pick the vehicles that would rule that class. Explorers, Blazer's etc. would do nicely, some trunk cars but others wouldn't fair so well. Glad to see you exploring options tho Darville. I think the problem that needs addressed is that a majority of the kids that are wanting to get into spl have a trunk car. Plain and simple...I see it at every one of my shows...8 out of 10 of the "newbies" have cars with trunks, a couple lucky ones have SUV's. I totally believe a trunk only class would do very well in USACI. If the issue is not wanting to add more classes then subtract a few from others. You could easily make room for a new "Trunk Only Class" by going with 3 power classes in stock/prostock classes. Narrow them down to 0-1800 (2 amps max?) Then leave the rest the same...1801-3000 and 3000 - up. This would only effect the 0-600 guys slightly, if you limit the amps to 2 in the class it would still be affordable, and by making the room for 2 extra classes you could do a Trunk Class 1 0-1000 2 amp max and Trunk Class 2 1000 and up 3-4 amps. Please give this some serious thought, I truly think it could work. It has worked very well at the comps you've done for Mark at Cartunes and myself. Thanks | |

Thanks now you have a decent idea but u could make it where all seats have to be in subs have to be in the trunk...power classes i think bumpin has it about right we need a trunk car class i came to this in a trunk car and knew i need a suv type car to win the big shows..tihs should be for us all..think hard on this one usaci

| I say all usaci rules, only a trunk class. And honestly. I still think a trunk car can do just as well as an suv for the big shows. Still tho, a trunk class would be great. | |

| Haha,That's why God made everybody unique.Since everybody is different, not everyone got the same frequency.Every built is different. No matter if it's the same car. Which is why we have a USACI cd with a 100 tracks to find your own track. | |

| I still think street beat should be done differently. I think the judge of an event should randomly select a song out of a hat, and everyone competing in street beat at that event has to play the same song.
In some ways I don't like my idea, but I think it would go a long ways towards correcting a problem that is quickly arising in street beat. 30 second long burps. There are plenty of songs out there that have constant bass for over 30 seconds. Just find the one that fits your frequency range the best, and build your car for the song. But I don't think that was USAC's intentions for street beat. I thought it was for the daily drivers that could play any song well. To get the class back to what the class is intended for, we're gonna have to find some way to keep competitors from building for a specific song, and keep it to where they can play any song. I think random song selection by the judge is the easiest way. Of course everyone would have to play the same song at the same event to keep things fair, but the song could change from event to event with no problems.

| x2 Street Beat has turned it to a Deathmatch type competitons to see if your system can hold a note for 30secs now. thats just my opinion. Last Year I was going to but my truck for Street Beat but when i seen what people were doing I didnt have a chance really so I did like everyone else was doing and tuned my car to a certain song | |

| Area 51 would be a fun demo class You could see how everyone stacks up on a certain note, then the next year everyone will tune and build for it and it'll be just like any other usaci class.
come up with a sliding scale that'll let the real low guys be competitive. Before there was street beat, there was the experimental ground pounders. 30 sec, single freq, sliding scale.
Bring on the low boyz. 150db at 28hz would truly be loud.

| Area 51 would be dead on for most explorers. Loud vehicles with a class designed for their note. That's a little biased. How about "30's and lows." 39hz and down. True street beaters. | |
