| Change for the sake of change is not change at all.
If we are to change we need something groundbreaking, something to turn the world in its head.

No such thing as smaller amps any more, just manufacturers playing the ratings game. IMHO Well 1500 watt amps and 1200 watt amps are far less expnsive that the 3k and D5. Sundown 1500 Crossfire 1000 Db Drive 1200.1 Memphis audio 1000.1 Jl Audio 1000.1 these are the amps i speak of. Kids or new blood can afford these amps and DEALERS(who we want to throw shows) sell more of these smaller amps than the 2k,3k and 5k amps. We need to go back to our roots. Back to basics and get away from the 15 volts, 5 banks of caps, 7 batts. Wall classes need to be split by 12 voll and 18 volt. Walls attract crowds, why hurt a person running a wall to go against 18volts if they dont need to.

| We need to throw shows at dealer's SHOP at no charge to them. Thats the only way to re-establish trust and get them back on board. With manufactures, if we get dealers on board, then they pinch the manufactures to step up. We need to get back to the brick and motar shops. | |

| The biggest advantage for usaci and competitors with getting rid of the 600 watt classes. 0-600 601-1800 ect. Will make it easier to enter other classes. .example. i could run trunk 0-500 stock 0-500 supper stock 0-500 and mod 0-500 without changing anything. More entries for usaci. More options for competitors. | |

Are you a store? You join as a store? If so then you must have missed the memo. If not then you are talking out of your ass. While we do not rewuire them to join any longer there are a lot of advantages to a retailer if he joins. And Crank it ups are still done, and for the same reason, to promote sales and future business. Some shops do them just for points so they can go to finals for bragging rights and that is the WRONG REASON to do show...

| Tge biggest reason shops get upset about hosting a show my opinion is because they dont take advantage of it. If im a shop and want to sell brand XXX... then im going to do what it takes to get all the brand XXX sponsored cars and demo cars there i can. Theres no reason to host a show if your potential customers are seeing a bunch of eqpt you dont even sell. | |

No the bigger problem is Internet sales. 90% or better of consumers are happy with 2 12's and 1000 watts for $400. Loudest guy in the area according to them and their friends, go to a show and get beat by 10 db. Then here comes the question how can I get louder and you reply oh well your not going to be competitive in this org without buying this amp. How much is this amp you are talking about? Around $1000 and with that we have to upgrade your electrical and those 2 12's you have won't play long on your new setup. How much is that? Couple of clicks on the calculator and with install, subs, custom box that will do a decent #, 0 gauge that'll be a little over $2000. Hopefully then you have a customer that is ready to drop 2 grand and they say let's do it. Well the d5 is not available the aq is direct only, sundown which doesn't have any thing that fits in the class, he can get for close to the same price as the shop cactus can't be bought and the new b5's are overseas. Now being a shop why would I want to have a show where my main stream stocked equipment is not going to be competive and the product that is can be had direct for about the same price as the shop. Figure out how to promote main stream audio and the shops would be more interested.

| Make stock classes use amps with on board fusing and the classes based on 1 ohm rating with same divisions. If you are using amps with no fusing you are ss or mod. Every one would have a place to play. | |

| When i started getting serious about competition i didn't know what amp to buy. I had the Rockford 500a2 than went kicker xs100 and on to the mojo 4kw .all my decisions were made by myself. And 4 ohm ratings and whatnot had nothing to do with it. I just wanted to get louder every show. I wasn't there to beat anyone. Only my last number. If more people would do it that way the lanes would be full | |

Most people I know don't have the money to change up amps like that. They pretty much do the best they can afford and run with that.

| I'm not talkng about a low turnout show, and yes USACi has many classes. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't think of 1 high output amp that has on board fusing. On board fusing does several things, first it is the style of amps that most consumers use. Second it is hard to get 5000+ watts through 100 amp of fusing. Third since it is the most common amp out their retail shops stock it or can have it within a day. Even with that said there will still be stand out amplifiers that work well, but at least they can be found and competively priced among store fronts and generating revenue for the store.
To recap a store front has a show and they compete USACi, all of the competitive amps they don't have access to. A show benefits them in what way?

| Also doesn't matter what classes you do away with the true competitor is going to adapt and the best will still win. At least by handicapping people on equipment you lower the cost to get into the sport. | |
