ok but did you measure the input current to the amp... ? I've seen the vid before of the cactus. That's a lot of current to flow into an amp without causing a melt down since rd rates it for 300, flowing almost tripple that number. Was this amp modified or stock?

300 amps is at 14.4 and 1 ohm man

this is at 18v and .33

and no i didnt measure current at the input and didnt feel i needed to there is an org based off of how i clamp my amps and we all know the name of it


i got this technique from charlse estes to measure my power as a tool

so is it that hard for you to believe these amps actually do this type of power

this amp was stock out the box from europe

I couldnt get my PF600.1 to play over 15.7 volts......

thats because you didnt have the older versions you had the newer ones

i had 3 2 were newer and i also had that issue

Well.. you said it yourself.. that rating was done by RD on a 1ohm fixed resistance, then you said your load was rising to about 1ohm as well... There load didn't rise.. same load, triple the current? It helps to measure input verses output to see how efficiency falls the lower you wire your amp.

but if you look the rise on the cactus in the video is below 1 ohm

I'm also curious about the cactus measurements as well. I have a cactus pf600.1 (black one) and i got 2350 out of it .35 rising to 1.1 and voltage sagging down to 11.3v. I like seeing what other people got out of theirs.

Were all the batteries put in the truck for that single amp or was it for a larger setup and you just decided to try the single amp on that power supply?

all the batts had been in my truck for 2 years then i decided to play in 0-600
the amp in that video is a pf600.1 not a d5


the d5 wasnt much more power than the d5

at finals in 2009 i ran 6 d9's on 3 rd 15's and was clamping 21k a pair per sub

i got halfway through my volume and pooof blew 2 subs in the lanes lol

got to the pits pulled the subs and both blown subs had dimed sized holes burnt in the coils

that was on 24 power master batts

ehhh it happens went out with a bang because i was basically done after that finals

i had more than a 65 in it but Dung Pile happens and all i had in the lanes is what it did

i had the same issue with 2 d9's. Per sub
