trunk under 150 dollars

last week I received my hi-fonics under 20 dollar woofers and last thrus. I put them on a box and my cheap a$$ amp think like it (clpided and burn fuses ) .But still went to compete and hit a 142.5 on Sunday .I wanted to take this to 145-146 I figure that is a decent number for that price and a trunk.So , what I do................ built a different box today and tested and this is the result just after I thru the box and did frequency test .

first of all asshat.. i never called you a trol , if you would like that thats fine...................second of all i may not have donated anything to this but i have donated alot of product at all of my shows...i have hosted at least a dozen usaic shows at my shop , several other orgs as well , i have been to finals five times......thats alot more expensive than donating something to this .........

Worrying about cheating is a perfectly normal thing to do in competition. It's not the point of THIS competition though. Hopefully we can trust the competitors to maintain the spirit of the competition, without having to making tons of rules.

Think about on The Dark Knight movie. 2 boats filled with explosives, one prisoners and one innocent civilians. Did either boat blow up? I trust Batman and so should you!

TAZ, you were very correct in all of your rantings. I DO NOT know how to build a box. I am very gifted in other areas, but just not in fabrication of enclosures. I do not own a shop, do not work for one, never have, nor do I know anyone who does. I am on an audio team, but the closest teammate to me is 3+ hours away, so visiting to BS about our sport or to get assistance in a build is a challenge within itself. I just LOVE BASS...started in 1994 when I was in the Army and didn't have any bills...all of my money went to my truck, and thus a basshead was born.

Was I hoping for an advantage by finding subs cheaper than everyone else in this challenge? YOU BETCHA A$$. Otherwise, I don't stand a chance. Consider it a handicap. Compare it to golf. It IS about the build, but again, my build skills suck @$$ so I thought I can even the score by buying $1.58 subs. (Chris Fish, your link provided nothing useful to a consumer, from what I gathered.) Is that considered cheating? I don't think it is. It's perfectly legal under the established rules. Do I think it's a loophole? Absolutely. Shipping on these 8s are almost $23 each. Outrageous, I know, but it formed the loophole.

its all good here . go buy some mdf , if you dont have a good table saw its all good , i build half my sht with good circular saw ( i go thru one a year from dropping them so much) and a good straight edge , tape measure . and then ask for help.. you may have to eat alittle crow but you will get some good advise , everyone may not give you their best box designe , but some will , you take everyones ideas and mix them up untill something works , dont bother with fiberglass on every box , wait untill you think you have gotten as load as you can get , fiberglass it and run it , thennn start over . and over and over..
