2011 USACi World Finals Dates - Need your input

I am working on USACi World Finals for Shreveport, LA but I have run into a snag and need YOUR HELP!

I got some dates I need to discuss with you all, please do not jack my thread and respond with what your thoughts are.

nov 19 and 20 ,tooooooo close to thanx giving.

That is what I said too Ruperto. But before I do anything I really wanted ALL the competitors input on this decision before I get all the contracts done with the Hilton and Convention Center.

Agree. I would like to try to do both USACi and MECA, but it may not happen even without conflicting dates ($$$$'s).

the first two are too close to Meca Finals. The last is too close to Thanksgiving...but if I had to vote for the good of USAC turnout I'd vote for the third option. If I wanted to vote for the good of myself, I'd vote the first option.

If we just had finals in July or August We wouldnt have this problem. Just my 2cents.

I'm with John and probably any other serious competitor out there who WOULD prefer to go BOTH FINALS. Late in November would be personal favorite IF I HAD TO CHOOSE but IT IS TOO CLOSE to the Holidays and probably to cold too. The weather would be much better at the first of October, plenty of time BEFORE the Holiday season BUT only a week apart from the other Finals. WTF? I realize that a decision has to be made but I mean, damn. What happened to all the talk about a Finals in late August?? (James).

Not that I like either but I would have to say the first of October UNLESS it can be changed to even BEFORE THAT (maybe late Sept). $$$ is gonna be tight for everyone so try and consider these things before making a concrete decision. Oh, and the middle of October (15th & 16th)would just be stupid. No disrespect to anyone BUT should NOT even be an option, UNLESS you want more of what you had this year (or should I say LESS) from the SQ side anyway.

Bravo for bringing it up now though. Quite impressive considering how things usually run. LOL

Forgot....I know its early and all but obviously someone is planning on ahead for next year, so please take into account other events that may be going on/in and around the area in Shreveport (if it must be held here again) during whatever the final dates will be as to avoid as much conflict as possible for all those attending the USACi World Finals......and I would think that once the dates or finalized that someone will be working on SPONSORS for next year's event NOW so that long before the actual event (maybe 60 days) that LOCAL ADVERTISING can be done to actually bring PAYING spectators to the event. The more $$$ the better the event will be for everyone.
My 2 cents.....

I agree Todd if it is going to be in Shreveport and we finalize dates now we (in Tyler) can start promoting the fact that finals will be in our backyard and we can round up more spectators to attend and hopefully get interested.

First of all I would like to say thanks Jenissa for putting this out there for the input. Here is my question...for the second date with USACI and MECA is this for a combined Finals between the two or would these be two seperate events?

No this would be separate Finals.

I do have another choice I found out today.....Oct. 1 & 2nd?
